Ah yes... the glamorous side of interior design. ✨

Swipe through, and you'll see a laundry room that's currently starring exposed framing, a stack of plans, and mood boards pieced together with optimism.

This is one of my favorite phases of a project because it's where imagination has to do a little heavy lifting. Every cabinet, every finish, every inch of storage has already been considered long before a single tile is installed. What looks like construction chaos today is actually hundreds of decisions quietly coming together behind the scenes.

And let's be honest, laundry rooms deserve a little love. If you're going to spend countless hours folding socks that mysteriously lose their partners, you might as well do it in a beautiful space.

For , we're designing a laundry room that's equal parts efficient and charming. Thoughtful storage, timeless materials, and enough personality to make one of the most overlooked rooms in the house feel just as intentional as the kitchen.

For now, it's all studs and dreams.

A patio should tell the same story as the home it belongs to.

For , the outdoor space isn't an afterthought. They're an extension of the resident's heritage and how much they value curb appeal and first impressions.

You'll start to see subtle nods to their heritage woven throughout the design. Collected materials, timeless forms, handcrafted details (the way "things used to be done"), and pieces that feel like they've traveled through generations rather than arrived on a moving truck last week.

This is just a sneak peek, but I already know this outdoor space is going to become one of the hardest-working rooms on the property, little do the residents know!

The best memories rarely happen indoors anyway.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love designing kitchens?

Just a hundred times... but I'll happily say it again.

For me, the kitchen is the heartbeat of a home. It's where coffee turns into conversations, homework happens while dinner is cooking, friends inevitably gather around the island (even when there are perfectly good chairs nearby), and family traditions quietly begin. On average, we spend from 3-6 years of their lives in our Kitchen!

It's also one of the most challenging spaces to design. Every inch has to earn its keep. The cabinetry must work hard, the lighting should be beautiful and functional, and the materials have no choice but to withstand real life, without sacrificing character.

I love solving that puzzle.

Whether it's hiding a charging drawer, carving out a cozy banquette, designing custom storage, or sourcing the imperfect antique to make a brand-new kitchen feel like it's always belonged, these are the spaces I find myself thinking about long after I've left the job site.

Until I can reveal a kitchen I've been especially excited about (trust me, it's worth the wait), I thought I'd share a few of my favorite kitchens from past projects.

Every family has a favorite seat in the house.

My guess is this banquette at High Alpine Retreat will inspire a little friendly competition.

Tucked into a wall of windows, it was designed to capture the surrounding mountain views while creating a cozy spot for everything from morning coffee to marathon board game sessions. The beauty of a banquette is that it invites people to linger. No one ever rushes through a meal when they're tucked into a corner like this.

I love that this space feels equally suited for a quiet breakfast with the sunrise, a craft session while gazing at snowfall or a holiday gathering where someone inevitably stays seated long after dessert has disappeared.

The antique monastery table may be the centerpiece, but the real star is the connection to the landscape beyond. Every season brings a different backdrop, turning an everyday meal into something just a little more memorable.

And let's be honest, if there's a coveted seat in the house, it's probably this one.

Took my niece and Mom on an antiques mission at home in Mississippi. I taught them how to spot good pieces and little did they know, it is a sport! We shopped and gathered quite the haul! Though we bought a lot of flippers, the priceless memories were my favorite part.

One of the most dangerous parts of my job? Lighting showrooms.

I walk in with a plan and leave questioning whether a home needs three chandeliers... or thirteen.

For our project, I hunted for those pieces that do more than illuminate a room. The right chandelier doesn’t just provide light. It creates atmosphere, establishes scale, and occasionally makes my heart skip a beat.

We’re also exploring sculptures, which is where a project really starts to develop its personality. A beautiful sculpture can anchor a room, spark curiosity, and tell a story long before anyone notices the sofa fabric or paint color.

These shopping days are equal parts strategy and instinct. I measure, compare, eliminate, reconsider, and occasionally fall completely in love with something unexpected.

The glamorous side of interior design isn’t picking pretty things. It’s editing hundreds of beautiful options down to the few that feel absolutely right for the home.

One of my favorite parts of this job is seeing a space long after the photos are taken.

These clients continue to make my day and share how much they love living in their home, and for me, that's the real measure of success.

When we began, the goal wasn't simply to create a beautiful kitchen. It was to create a space that worked hard for a busy family, felt effortless to use every day but also moody enough to throw a dinner party where guests think they are in a swanky hotel.

The skylight transformed the room, flooding the heart of the home with natural light. The custom storage solutions keep the inevitable clutter at bay. Even the family dog has a dedicated spot tucked into the island. Every detail was designed to support the way this family actually lives.

One of my favorite moments is the custom pantry and refrigeration panels. Behind the patterned wood and smoked mirror is a hidden hinge system that allows the panels to open for easy cleaning. Because while beautiful details matter, so does living with them.

Hearing that this kitchen is constantly being used, enjoyed, and thoroughly lived in is the greatest compliment I could receive.

Before I left for Spain, I made one rule:

If it couldn't fit in a suitcase, it wasn't coming home.

A reasonable rule. A practical rule. A rule that immediately fell apart somewhere between Seville and Granada.

Between antique shops, flea markets, ceramics districts, and winding streets filled with treasures, I found myself doing what I do best: hunting for pieces with history, character, and a good story to tell. I saw hundreds of objects, but I only selected a handful. A few made it home with me. A few nearly required their own boarding pass.

In this carousel, I'm sharing some of my favorite finds, a few lessons learned, and proof that my toxic trait is believing there's always room for one more mirror.

What's the best treasure you've ever found while traveling?

Now that summer is in full swing, I have a feeling this pool at High Alpine Retreat is getting exactly the kind of use we imagined when designing it.

Swipe for a little trip down memory lane to one of my favorite settings of the photoshoot. What started as a wild idea for a headshot somehow turned into leather pants, 85-degree weather, a 50-foot lap pool, and a photographer encouraging me to get closer and closer to the water.

Looking back at these photos makes me laugh because they capture something I love about this project. Yes, the architecture is stunning. Yes, the details are thoughtful. But the best homes are meant to be lived in, enjoyed, and occasionally used as the backdrop for slightly questionable creative decisions.

A good reminder that design should be serious about quality, but not always serious about itself.

There’s the version of me you see here… and then there’s the version that’s covered in dust at an estate sale or splashed with mud in Louisiana.

Design might be what I’m known for, but the personality behind it is a mix of Southern roots, peculiar flea market decisions, and very strong opinions about trim.

I don’t trust a chair that’s too sturdy. I will always make room for one more antique. And I fully believe your home should feel layered, personal, and just a little bit unexpected.

So if you’re here for pretty spaces, stay for that. But if you’re here for the stories, the quirks, and the occasional chaotic energy behind them… you’re in the right place.
