I pulled out my Christmas scraps thinking I’d make something quick before dinner… and somehow this star took over the entire afternoon. There’s something extra special about decorating the Christmas tree with things made by hand. They may not be perfectly identical or store-bought fancy, but every little stitch reminds me of a quiet afternoon spent sewing at home. That’s the kind of Christmas decorating I love most.

I think my Christmas quilt has officially passed inspection. I laid it on the table for one quick photo, and within minutes the real cat showed up to examine the three fabric cats. Apparently every handmade project in this house needs feline approval first. Do you think it passed?

I had a few brown and cream scraps sitting beside my sewing machine and somehow they turned into the tiniest little Christmas cottage. Now I’m tempted to hang it somewhere I can see it every morning. There’s just something about handmade Christmas decorations that makes the house feel warmer. Would you hang this on the tree or somewhere else?
