Scoobys Snack Shack - Manistee opened today and we tried them out, of course.

Here's what you need to know.

Gyro- oh baby!!! This will be my go to 100%. Great flavor and a good quality pita. It was a bit heavy on the oh so tasty sauce so maybe just get it on the side? Or just enjoy. Definitely a 10/10.

Al pastor tacos- YES, please. Pineapple for the win, enough said.

Nuclear Speghetti- I'm not a pasta or red sauce person but I do love any spicy goodies so I had to try it.Holy cow!!! Amazing!!!

Coleslaw- 2 kinds available. I got creamy & it was lovely.

*other*- I SO appreciated the paper packaging
I did the drive thru since I was pressed for time.
They were super friendly. The small wait was expected for the first day & it was all good.
The 2 spots to wait for food were a bit tight. I almost took out a local police cruiser as I wedged my way out. I imagine that won't be a problem as they work out the kinks

We can walk or cart from our house so I can't wait to eat in and check out the rest!! So glad to have them!!!

A new set of smoked fired pieces from Salmeron Pottery have arrived!!

Susan is a close family friend from our hometown and was our very first artist here at Port City Emporium. We are honored to have 21 new pieces.
She is a master of her art and also sells her work with the Potter's Guiild at the Ann Arbor Art Fair and at the Toledo Museum of Art

**Smoke fired is similar looking but is different than Raku. Smoke fired is a more organic process. The pottery is gently heated in an enclosed pit with horsehair, sawdust and other natural materials. It smolders rather than explodes. The results are beautiful clouds of carbon and ghost looking halos**

90% of these sales goes directly to help run and maintain our beautiful North Pier Lighthouse right here in Manistee.
