Of Curious Nature Candle Co Hand poured all natural soy candles with a Yooper theme. Yooper themed all natural soy candles handcrafted in small batches in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Each scent is inspired by popular Yooper sayings, expressions, places and apparel. It's well known that our sense of smell is directly linked to our memory more than any of our other senses. It was with this in mind that I created Of Curious Nature Candles. Each candle is made not just to produce a pleasant aroma, but with the hopes that it will transport you to a cherished memory of a unique and

personal experience in the Yoop. Have you ever been to the Porkies? Have you ever seen the northern lights from the shores of Gitche Gumee? Ever taken a two rut to get to camp? Crossed the Mighty Mac and immediately know that you're in God's Country? Wore a chook, choppers and swampers? Swatted a skeeter the size of a small bird? All fun Yooperisms that are part of daily life here in the Yoop! My candles are hand poured in very small batches right here in my kitchen. I use 100% all natural soy wax and "clean scent" fragrance oils. Clean scent fragrance oils are free of carcinogens and toxins. The wicks are constructed from all-natural ring-spun cotton. They do not contain zinc, lead, or any other metals. My hope is that my candles help you relive your Yooper experience or allow you to share your experience with others by sharing a candle with them.

I had such a nice visit there today and am thrilled to have another U.P. shop carrying my Yooper-inspired scents. If you’re in the Newberry area, stop in, browse the beautiful work from local artists and makers, and give the candles a sniff while you’re there!

Tonight’s candle pouring workshop at Lake Effects Art Center was such a fun one! 🕯️🍂

This crew caught on FAST — and before long, everyone was helping each other, swapping tips, laughing, and visiting while we waited for those candles to cool down enough to head home.

Honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts of these workshops. You come to make a candle… and somehow end up sitting around the table chatting like you’ve known each other forever. ❤️

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight and made it such a great class — you were a fun bunch! 🕯️

Fall is officially taking over the candle room! 🍂🎃

The wax melt production line is in full swing, and these little clamshells are getting filled with all the cozy goodness of fall. Think pumpkins, warm spices, crisp leaves and all those scents that make you want to grab a hoodie—even if Mother Nature hasn’t gotten the memo yet. 😂
