Do you love thrifting? If so, here is something to think about when hunting for your next treasure.

Some booths tell a story before you ever pick something up.

I stood here a little longer than usual and read this note twice. Not because it was hard to understand, but because it was hard to hold. Behind these shelves isn’t a “reseller”… it’s someone carrying the weight of losing their grandmother, mother, son, and wife…and now the quiet, overwhelming task of letting their things go.

Every glass, every bowl, every small piece here once belonged to a life that mattered. A home that was lived in. Memories that didn’t expect to end this way.

It’s easy to walk through places like this and just see “stuff.” But sometimes, it’s not about the item.
It’s about the person standing behind the table, doing something incredibly hard, one sale at a time.

If you’re out thrifting, antiquing, or browsing a local market this weekend… just remember: there’s often a story you can’t see. A little extra kindness goes a long way.
