On the River this Morning
"Before" N "After" ~ weeding

Remember last year September I put this new mulch down?

A week later, I came back; and found a lot of small "seedlings" had appeared.
(I forgot to grab some mulch to put outside in a container to see if seedlings occurred as well)
After that, I was done for the season.

~ Anyways, this what is called "Catchweed"; was sprawling all over the place today!
They came out easily as there was a nice barrier underneath & they were growing within the mulch :-(
In other words, they came up from seeds; the seedlings I saw last fall I feel. A LOT of them!

Some of this new mulch even has decomposed to powder already & it was only purchased in bags last August.

Has anyone else dealt with is?

At least it's starting to look great again ♡ :-) ♡
