We just finished up “Gizmo” the skeleton nutcracker so that “Gourdon” would have a friend. They make a cute photo op!
“Otis” and “Balcom” our 12 ft skeletons will be on display soon as well as a couple other surprises.
We’re open today and tomorrow 10-5, but
CLOSED MONDAY for Labor Day.

How to get this layered chippy patina with Saltwash:

🟢 Start with a base coat of your darkest color. This layer peeks through later, so pick something with contrast (we used a deep teal here).

🟢 Once dry, mix your next color with Saltwash Texture Powder. This is what creates the crackle and chip effect as it dries.

🟢 Apply a thick coat over your base and let it work its magic as it cures. You’ll start to see the texture forming on its own.

🟢 Add a third lighter color in patches, focusing on the areas you want to look the most worn (edges, panel corners, drawer fronts).

🟢 Once fully cured, take a scraper or putty knife and start removing layers where you want that deep aged look. Work in sections and step back often, this part is all about restraint.

🟢 Finish with a light sand over the high-touch areas (edges, k***s, corners) to reveal the wood underneath and soften any harsh lines.

🟢 Seal with your favorite topcoat to protect all that hard work.

The result is a finish with real depth, not just one color chipping through, but layers of history built right into the piece.

We have some exciting workshops coming up this weekend!
It’s CHRISTMAS IN JULY, and we’ve got 4 awesome workshops to get you started on your holiday crafting.
We’re trying a different format this time so we’ll be doing all 4 workshops on the weekend of July 25th and 26th.

Saturday July 25th:

11:00 am - Decoupaged Christmas Trees:
We’ll be decorating and adorning a charming set of 3 wooden trees to match your holiday style.

3:00 pm - Wooden Package Project:
We will be painting and decorating a wooden block present to decorate with year after year. (Workshop includes 1 package, but additional blocks can be purchased on site.)

Sunday July 26th:

11:00 am - Holiday Wall Blocks:
We will be creating a fabulous set of 5 Holiday themed wall blocks. (You can choose between Christmas, Fall, or Botanical for this project)

3:00 pm - Wooden Holiday Tags
In this workshop you will take home a darling set 6 of wooden holiday gift tags that will be decoupaged and adorned to take your gift giving to the next level.

All workshops will last approximately 2 hours and lite refreshments will served. (See photos below for examples)
