Ready to give your plants a new home? Transplanting doesn’t have to be complicated!
Follow these simple steps to help your plant settle into its new space:
1. Prepare the new spot- Choose a suitable location and loosen the soil where your plant will go.
2. Carefully lift the plant- Dig around the root system, keeping as much of the roots intact as possible.
3. Make room for the roots- Dig a hole wide enough to comfortably accommodate the root ball.
4. Replant at the right depth- Set your plant into its new home at the same depth it was growing before.
5. Backfill and settle the soil- Gently fill around the roots and press the soil into place without compacting it too tightly.
6. Water thoroughly- Give your newly transplanted plant a good drink to help settle the soil around its roots. Damp roots are best roots! Be careful not to overwater.
A little patience and proper care go a long way in helping your plants thrive in their new home!
