Confession: I have more photos and videos of my flowers than my children 😬 To be fair the flowers are much more cooperative.

Today I'm looking back at the beautiful abundant spring we had and feeling a little wistful. I know it's easy to forget the sleepless nights and constant work. But it feels good to reflect on all of the beauty.

I'm also feeling so grateful for all the ways you have supported our small farm - leaving reviews, buying bouquets, trusting me with your wedding flowers, purchasing dahlia tubers, cheering me on with your kind comments... All of it adds up to a beautiful life and community. I'm grateful you are here!

If course there are always new beautiful blooms on the horizon (Gorgeous lisianthus and dahlias coming your way!) But spring flowers will always have my heart ❤️

It's officially summer at our house! I love having my kids home and not having a schedule (most of the time 😂).

I try to lean into the small joyful moments that come our way. Here are 5 beautiful things from this week:

Snapdragons: I left my snapdragons in the ground in the fall and they did well because of our unusually mild winter. So I have earlier blooms this year and nice tall stems! I'm excited to share them with you.

Remarkably Bright Creatures: This was such a sweet movie about loss, grief and healing. I loved the coastal setting, unique perspective, heartfelt performances (Sally Field especially), and incredibly touching story.

Irrigation Nights: Every year one of our water turns is in the middle of the night. I dread getting up and always feel like I'm going to be murdered or attacked by a wild animal 😂 But I also look up at the night sky and feel absolute awe. The stars are phenomenal at 2 am.

Hula Hoops: My kids tried hula hooping the other day and it made me laugh so hard. Watching their skinny little bodies without hips swirl frantically to keep the hoop up was delightful

Flower Farmers to the Rescue: My battery died at the flower market the other day and my flower farming friend Carlyn saved the day. If I had to be stranded on a desert island with anyone I would choose flower farmers. They are hard workers, problem solvers, know how to do everything, are delightful company, and love beautiful things ❤️🌸

And a big bonus shout out to my husband Jordan who had a new battery ready and waiting when I got home. He can come to the island too! 🌴

This week we planted the rest of our dahlia tubers, pulled out the ranunculus, direct seeded zinnias, cosmos, and sunflowers and weeded everything! I love seeing how things change everyday and what new blooms arrive.

Here are 5 beautiful things from my week that have inspired me, made me happy and brought me joy.

Sweet Peas: I can't put into words how happy I felt when I saw these first sweet pea blooms in the tunnel today! This is a relatively new crop for me and I'm so happy they are thriving.

Japanese Maple: My Japanese Maple looked pretty dead after the last hard frost - It's finally sending out new leaves this week. Nature is so resilient.

Long Drives: Yesterday my husband Jordan and I drove out to Wyoming for the day. He does paleontology for oil and gas companies and needed to check on a site. We drove way out into the desert, wandered around, found some fossilized turtle and drove back home. It was so nice to be together and talk and to be in a wide open space.

Slackwater Pizza: On our way home we picked up a pizza at Slackwater in the Riverwoods. We got the Italian job and it was delicious. Their crust is phenomenal.

Cherry Ridge Bike Park: This is a relatively new bike park in Springville. It has an easier section for younger kids, an awesome pump track and connects to longer mountain bike trails. I tried out the pump track for the first time and had so much fun. I love that is investing in public outdoor recreation!

Last week I thought things were slowing down, but I was wrong 😂 We are definitely transitioning from the chaos of early spring and waiting for the next big flush of flowers, but there is still so much to do!

This week I am:

Turning over beds in the tunnel. Goodbye ranunculus and anemones 😭 hello dahlias, zinnias, and sunflowers!

Setting up my irrigation timers. I use the Orbit Bhyve hose timer. I love that I can set up programs and control it from my phone!

Harvesting for the . This week I'm bringing lots of delphinium, ranunculus, California poppies, butterfly ranunculus, irises and Iceland poppies.

Planting seeds. It's the perfect time to direct seed sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias outside.

Prepping a wedding pickup in the dreamiest combination of soft pastels.

Mulching everything. We are hoping to use less water this year by mulching all of our growing space heavily.

Also, it's way too hot. So it's time to become a morning person 👎👎👎

It has been a busy week of weddings, plantings, harvesting and bouquet making. I'm exhausted and grateful and looking forward to doing absolutely nothing this weekend!

I'm all of the busyness there was also lots of beauty. Here are 5 beautiful things from my week:

Spring Salon: Yesterday we rode our bikes to the of art and checked out the Spring Salon. It's my favorite exhibit of the year because it showcases the incredible work of Utah artists. If you go you should also take a moment to enjoy the beautiful roses in the sculpture garden - they smell amazing!

Girls Soccer: We aren't a super sporty family, but Clara wanted to play soccer this year with a friend and I loved watching her. They all improved so much! Shout-out to all the parents who volunteer as coaches 🙌

Hummingbirds: We had the first hummingbird sighting of the season this week. I love their Jetson sound and seeing them stop at the feeder outside my kitchen window.

The Ruth: Clara and I went to see the Wizard of Oz at and Nathan Hale Center Theater in Pleasant Grove and we loved it! Incredible singing, beautiful staging, and a delightful evening with my girl.

My hammock: This is where I'm currently hiding from my family 😂 staring at the mountain, listening to the chickens and pheasants and wind. Everyone needs a good spot to reset.

There won’t be Friday Flowers available this week as we pause and let the garden catch its breath. We’re right in that in-between moment—waiting on the peonies to bloom and preparing for the next beautiful flush of mid-spring flowers.

It won’t be long before the buckets are brimming again with larkspur, snapdragons, delphinium, peonies, and foxglove—some of the most magical blooms of the season. This little pause means something especially lovely is just around the corner.

Thank you, as always, for following along with the natural rhythm of the farm. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

I'm catching my breath after the rush of early spring! All the tulips are harvested and all of the seedlings are in the ground. Phew! Coming soon peonies, delphinium, foxglove and more 🌸

Here are 5 beautiful things from my week:

Silver Dawn Peony: This beauty showed up 3 weeks early and I'm not mad about it. I love walking through my peony patch to see who's next to bloom.

Mapleton Community Theater: My daughter is participating in the inaugural Mapleton Community Theater production of Cinderella. I sat in on the first rehearsal and they already sound amazing! They are having a fundraising gala on May 1st and it's a great opportunity to support this new community organization

Matteo's Pizza: This is definitely a hidden gem in my little town (It's in the back of the Maple Mountain Insurance building) Fluffy, chewy crust, tasty toppings and great service. My kids devoured it!

Wallace the Brave: My son came home with a bunch of these comic books from school and suddenly wanted to make a leaf crown and go barefoot all summer long 😂 I love that these comics show kids having fun adventures outside and that they make him want to do the same!

Project Hail Mary: This movie was fun, poignant, exciting and cinematic. My twins who are both 10 loved it and it soaked some good conversations about space, friendship and problem solving.
