Barwood Pottery is a pottery studio dedicated to sharing knowledge of pottery techniques and networking with other artists to promote an appreciation for all forms of ceramics. Barwood Pottery takes an active roll in (SACA) Southern Arizona Clay Artists, Inc. which was formed to provide a greater understanding and appreciation for clay to the community at large as well as serving as a cooperative forum and network for clay artists and enthusiasts.

Support local artisans and start your holiday shopping early at the Tucson Museum of Art Fall Artisan Market. Shoppers will find selections from more than 100 + local small businesses specializing in pottery, jewelry, textiles, glass, fine art, and more! In addition, visitors can browse through the galleries, café, and Museum Store. Free and open to the public!

These past few years have been very hard for small businesses, so please remember to support them this holiday season.

The bisque firing is complete. I’ll be working on glazing next. What is your favorite glaze combination? I like Shinos with splashes of color for some reason but have been using a lot of Mayco Stroke&Coat colors fired to cone 5 on B-mix clay. They are fun to work with.
