Who’s ready for a weddin’?!!! What you can’t see under my dress is an ace bandage around my knee because I totally wiped out rushing around the venue last night to design and shop for decorations 90 minutes before the guests would arrive I TANKED on the slippery, night club floor before they got to washing it. **worth noting, for those of you who know me, there were no substances in me.** So after I fell I kept going. Still fueled on adrenaline. Cut to me in the middle of the night woken by the pain and hopping to the bathroom. Ugh. Good times. I did a minor pre game and feel a touch better. 🤣🍸

If you ever happen to only have 90 minutes to go buy stuff to decorate a rehearsal dinner, I hope this helps. The bride and groom had a picnic in Central Park planned. The weather forecast had other ideas. We got the call at 8 am that they were going to do it at a venue. (Which I had never seen) We dashed to design the indoor venue this morning. Our cart was full at the wholesale floral and decor places. Then we got a call from the venue saying there was a pipe burst and they will have us go to a different venue. (Which I also had never seen) Found this out at noon and load in was at 2:30. Yeah, right? Needless to say, I think with 90 minutes notice, we managed. We just went for white, bridal and CHEAP! Baby’s breath is your friend. Carnations and mums? Hell yeah. Fairy lights? Buy a ton! I just got back to the hotel after trecking in the rain in a mad dash. Time to take a shower, get into Jammie’s and eat the buffet goodies I wrapped in paper towels. 🤣 And am I glad the groom’s mom bought a bottle of Tito’s? What do you think? Ni night friends.

Oh, my heart. During jury duty today, someone gasped and said “Dolly died”. EVERYONE in the room (about 90 of us) said “Nooo!” She was such a light. Did I own any of her albums? No. Did I ever see her in concert? No. Was she one of the “if you could have dinner with anyone living or dead” candidates? YES. Her spirit, her talent, her heart, all immeasurable. Her charity work, providing books to children, helping fund for the covid vaccine to name a couple. She was also a savvy businesswoman. Elvis wanted to record “I will always love you”…ELVIS, and she said NO. Very smart move. There will never be another like her. What a time for us to be alive to have shared this planet with such an angel. Rest you Queen. Well done. So, well done.

A different kinda Tuesday tip! I had jury duty today and my tip is to research the lunch spots before you go! Knowing you’re gonna have a bangin’ lunch makes the sitting around all day much better! I had an amazing Banh Mi sammich today. So. Good. Total highlight of my day. 😍

We had to get creative to make a temporary solution for this ceiling. The homeowners tragically had a fire and are still getting things back to normal. Inspections and final plumbing won’t happen for a while and, understandably, they were tired of being reminded on the daily. Since a true ceiling isn’t in their near future, we got some grasscloth wallpaper and stapled it to the beams, with an area that can be accessed by the plumbers and inspectors when the time comes. I’m hoping this small, temporary change can make mealtimes feel like they have their home back. 🙏
