*INTRODUCTION*
Hey everbody! I appreciate the interest so far in the 2026 NDOG! I created this page off of one of my personal accounts and I assumed that by doing that everbody knew that it was me...I'm still kinda living in the dark ages when it comes to allot of this newfangled modern internet cyber technology stuff! 😄
Anyway...I'm Forrest Dilmore...your host for the 2026 National Dutch Oven Gathering...aka NDOG. This year's NDOG will be held in Marianna FL...the heart of the Panhandle in northwest Florida. If you've never been to Florida...don't come here expecting to see any flamingos...unless you buy a Florida lottery ticket...they hav'em on the tickets. The state bird is the Mockingbird...you'll probably see plenty of them.
I'll gradually be getting out more information as to site availability for on-site camping...local hotel information...registration...and itinerary information. There's also some local places of interest that you might want to plan to get to while in the area...I'll put together some stuff on that. They'll be some merchandise available as well...T-shirts...aprons...hats...pins...etc commemorating the event.
If you would like to be involved in doing a presentation or demonstration during the event please contact me and let me know.
As far as the local public goes...the public is invited to attend and participate in the event as well. For those not familiar...the NDOG is an event is held ever year for dutch oven enthusiasts. If you have any interest in dutch oven cooking to any degree...this'll be somewhere you want to be on November 5-7. They'll be something going on ever day and a real good opportunity to learn allot.
They'll be a 3-pot cook-off as well...my favorite part of the NDOG. The cook-off categories will be a main dish...a bread dish...and a dessert dish. They'll be some really cool trophies for first place in each category and for the overall winner as well. They'll be more information on that as well as far as entry fees...rules...and sign-up forms. So if you think you might want to compete...get to practicing!
