The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) Diet is a strict, multi-phase elimination diet designed to reduce systemic inflammation, heal the gut, and alleviate symptoms of autoimmune conditions. It operates in two main phases:

1. The Elimination Phase (30–90 days)The primary focus is to strip your diet of common inflammatory foods and gut irritants.

2. The Reintroduction PhaseOnce you notice a measurable improvement in your symptoms, you gradually reintroduce the eliminated foods one at a time, waiting 5 to 7 days between each new food to monitor for negative reactions. This helps you identify your specific food triggers.

Foods to Avoid: Grains and pseudocereals (wheat, oats, rice, quinoa), Legumes (beans, peanuts, soy), Dairy and Eggs, Nuts and Seeds (including seed-based spices like coriander and cumin), Nightshade Vegetables (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, peppers), Processed Foods, Refined Sugars, Artificial Sweeteners, Seed Oils, and Alcohol, Coffee and Chocolate

Foods to Eat: High-Quality Animal Proteins (grass-fed meat, poultry, wild-caught fish, organ meats), Vegetables (excluding nightshades) and Leafy Greens, Healthy Fats (avocado, olive, and coconut oil), Fermented Foods (sauerkraut, kombucha, kimchi), Bone broth and Leafy Herbs/Spices, and Fruits (in moderation).

*THIS DIET IS TYPICALLY PRESCRIBED TO BE FOLLOWED BY A MEDICAL DOCTOR*

Anyone can eat these meals but this diet is typically prescribed by a medical doctor to follow for a specific amount of time.

The May Menu is up!

Flavor of the month is Vanilla Cake with fresh blueberries in the batter and Blueberry Buttercream made with a fresh blueberry compote! This has become my favorite flavor of all time and your MOM would love it too.
