We carry new and gently used books of all genres, for all ages, as well as upscale and vintage library decor.

wow. wowWoWWOWWW. What a whirlwind week+ it’s been for The ‘Worm -- we’re just NOW catching our breath to say THANK YOU!!!

We weren’t sure what to expect heading into our first Cincy Bookstore Crawl, TBH, but y’all blew through even our wildest dreams and just kept on running, like the damn Kool-Aid Man on crystal m**h. 🤯🙏

Your support last weekend meant the WORLD to us, and (although you couldn’t have known) your unbelievable generosity — not to mention: all the sick merch and emotional guidance from our AMAZING vendors; assistance from all 3 of our beautiful daughters; and my mama, who drove in early Saturday from Louisville so I could be there for our freshman’s first homecoming dance 😍 — made OUR 20th(?!?) WEDDING ANNIVERSARY one for the books!! 🥂👰🤵🍾

SOOO, while I deeply appreciate you all — including our many new followers (hi! 🙋‍♀️ keep your expectations low, please!) — this one goes out to that charming, well-styled, genius-level-yet-still-humble silver fox y’all see behind the counter most days. 🥹 He gives me all the credit when we get compliments on the bookstore, but please know he is selling himself wayyy short, bc he’s such a selfless, sweet sonofab*tch (except on the days he’s not, bc, you know, he’s still a dude 🤷‍♀️ 😂).

Anyway, one of our fave things as a couple is to flip lovey-dovey tropes on their head, to make each other laugh (example: “I love you to the moon, but certainly not enough to get back”). That said, I’ll conclude with this:

JOE, HONEY - IDK WHAT I DID TO DESERVE YOU, BUT IT MUST’VE BEEN PRETTY F***IN’ AWFUL. 😘💍 Love you so much and can’t wait to see what the next 20 have in store…

Yuuuuuge week ahead for The ‘Worm, y’all!! YUGE.

🚼2️⃣➡️3️⃣➡️4️⃣The annual CINCY BOOKSTORE CRAWL kicks off this FRIDAY, OCT. 2, running through SUNDAY, OCT. 4!!! We’ll open AN HOUR EARLY (at 10 am) ALL 3 DAYS, and let me just say that waiting to put all of these top-secret, brand-new, so-friggin’-COOL books & merch out on the floor has been SO HARD FOR ME, YOU GUYS. I am practically v i b r a t i n g trying not to show you yetttt…😍🤪🚼

Buuut, you can grab a sneak peek at some select goodies from 5 to 8 pm this THURSDAY, Oct. 1, during the next MARIEMONT SIP ‘N’ SHOP, featuring professionally picked pours from our pals at Dilly… 🍷🛍️

And, of course, we’d love to see you before then, too! Open 11-8 most days…

Just wanna say thanks to the young mom and daughter (maybe a 3 or 4yo) who popped in yesterday and made our day. I was in the back, banging around (you know, as one does while others are trying to read), when Joe walked through the curtain, beaming.

The mom, a regular of ours, had just told him that she’d taken her daughter to another bookstore over the weekend. (Great!! We love all indies!!) But they weren’t there long, apparently, when the little girl looked around, sat down, and said, “Okay, but I wanna go to the REAL bookstore now.”

EXCUSE ME WHILE I MOP UP MY HEART!😭😭

We have a notebook where we jot down nice things ppl say (for the REAL slow days, when we find ourselves questioning our life choices). While all the comments are special, those from the mouths of babes are the purest (a 4yo isn’t blowing smoke up your a** and buying the book online, KWIM?).

Anyway, thanks to those ladies for brightening our whole weekend, and we hope this makes y’all smile, too. We truly appreciate not just your business, but getting to know you, too, and hope you always consider us the REAL bookstore.🫶

1) First off, a nod to Mrs. Graeter, for not only tipping us off to a recent mention in the Cincinnati Enquirer/USA Today, but for cutting out and hand-delivering the article to our bookstore! 🥹

We had no idea about the name-drop, tbh, but we’re beyond honored, to say the least, especially surrounded by so many outstanding local businesses. (And to be fair, Graeter’s is the GOAT of family-owned shops in these parts, as y’all already know…) 🥰🫶🙏

2) Also gotta shout out my buddy Elizabeth Ross (and her hubby Matt!) at local favorite Hedgerow…

This power couple just dropped a huge haul of handmade tees, tea towels, totes, and more! We seriously can’t keep their merch in stock, so come and get it while you can. 🤩😉

3) Finally, we’d be remiss not to remove our proverbial caps for the incomparable Dolly Parton. 🫡 🫡 🫡

Her love of storytelling and words helped shape the soundtrack of our lives, and it will live on in the millions of kids she inspired to read with her unfettered generosity. Partnering with Dolly’s Imagination Library Ohio has been on our to-do list since before we opened, and honoring that legacy is now a priority.

Rest in Rhinestones, Queen. 🦋💕🙏

PS - Mark your calendars for the Cincy Bookstore Crawl - first weekend in October! (It’s what Dolly would want you to do, ok?) We opened too late to make last year’s indie bookstore list, so to say we’re excited is an understatement!!

☑️ At 2 pm TODAY, come celebrate CHRISTMAS IN JULY with local author Allie Alaniz! Grab a treat and get your copy of her book signed! 🎄🤶 🍪

☑️ The bookstore will be CLOSED THIS MONDAY-THURSDAY (July 27-30) for R&R and F-Cubed (Forced Family Fun™️) before the dreaded school year... We'll REOPEN as usual on FRIDAY (July 31). Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks in advance for understanding. Last year, when the store was still brand-new and we couldn't afford to go dark yet, our daughters stoically and gracefully sacrificed their usual vacay without (much) complaint, so we are extra excited and grateful to restart the memory-making engine. 🙏💕 In the meantime, stop in!
