While part of the team finalizes photography, Hollie and Andrew are tying up the last research ends on this catalog. In a discovery that we will file under "This is Why Ginny Gunn Bought This" is this graphic floral quilt top. On the back is a stamp with an eagle that reads "FINISHED AT SABIN ST. BLEACHERY." This likely refers to the Providence Dying, Bleaching, and Calendaring Company, which operated on Sabin Street in Providence, Rhode Island in the mid-19th century. We can imagine Ginny getting excited finding this tidbit of textile history on this quilt top!
