The “big” light. The mystery smell. The bathroom carpet. The formal living room nobody has touched since 2004.

These mums have become my insta page’s WHOLE personality! And if you have not been following along with mums watch, this is going to seem even sillier than it actually is! 😂 so you might want to go back and watch some of the “mum reels”.

🤫 I could buy another mirror just like mine, but where is the fun in that? Sometimes I think I just like the thrill of the hunt. And if you know me, you know I love a good craft project so this was such a satisfying find! Do you use rub and buff? I use it on a lot of different things🤭

As far as staging my listings, I do it at many different levels. Sometimes the homeowner has everything needed and there is zero staging done by me. Sometimes, it’s just advising what needs paint, or new carpet, and I always have my paint deck and some great recommendations ready to go! Other times, it’s a full on vacant house, and these days, you gotta hit the ground running on listing launch day with staging that helps people fall in love with the home! That’s when I stage at least some common areas and the master with some furniture and light staging. If you are a seller wondering where to start, don’t worry, I can help! Someone at the party asked me if I did this every week. I giggled, and then I realized, what a great question! Because I WISH I could do this every week! Celebrating my clients is so important to me. The support of my friends, family, and clients is literally my business model. Thank you to everyone that came to the client appreciation photo event! It gets better every single year. If you couldn’t make it, I hope to see you next year!

Losing all resolve… they are still looking good, but the honeymoon is over. Now I will need to move them to the front porch which is not super close to a hose. This does not bode well for these beauties because this is one of my favorite types of things to be lazy about… pulling out a hose from a reel and watering plants. I mean, it’s easy when I have time and I’m feeling leisurely, but when I am cramming things into my schedule watering plants usually falls to the last item on the to-do list. Again, editing these videos is more my speed, plus, I am multi tasking because I am editing this while I am waiting for an appointment in a waiting room….
I mean, I can’t water the mums while I wait in a waiting room 🤷‍♀️

Plants have feelings too, right? It’s too late for an alternate plan… these urns are it! Could I be killing the mums by hurting their feelings? 😂 I see how crazy plant ladies are born. I don’t want my mums to die. They are a part of me now 😆💀🌸

I am pretty sure I am a master gardener at this point… and the dedication. I mean, I braved the 56° temps this morning in my pajamas to ensure these guys got a good drink today before the craziness of a sports Saturday began!
I did not bottom water today Kelly Bartlett Rutherford because I did not have a lot of time to unload the stuff from the buckets and wait for them to sit. I would rather use the extra time sitting inside editing this video because it feels like THAT type of creative process is more “me”, lol!
So anyway, I saw another reel and I don’t know who it was to give credit to, but she did make a point to say you gotta get in there and make sure the water is actually getting in the dirt so I did try to dig the hose down in there pretty good so I think I did it right? Did I do it right?
Anyway, Saturday calls, gotta go, byeeeeee! 🤗

Giving mums another try this year. I saw on Hungry for Home “Tip Tuesday”, some tips for fall mums and that was encouraging. It really made me feel like it was easy, and that I could do it! So when I saw these beauties at Sam's Club I had to grab them.
The tips:
🍁wait until it’s cooler outside. They don’t like the heat. It has cooled down recently, but does it ever actually get cool enough in GA for mums?
🌸Choose buds that are still closed. Since I need these to be popping for my event on Sunday, I went with some that were a little open. Not all the way. I thought the whole thing was going to be this beautiful burgundy, red color and that the yellow blooms were just buds that were not open yet, lol! Oh well now I have half red and half yellow and I’m embracing it.
☀️ 6 hours of sun. ✅ this is not a problem in the front of my house. Hopefully surface of the sun temperature will work? lol!
💦 they dry out quickly so water them every day. No problem. I have left them right beside the hose at least until Sunday even though they would be so beautiful on the porch. I know me. The porch is too far from the hose. As soon as I got home, I was already rationalizing that they had probably been watered at the store and that I didn’t even need to water them on the first day. But this is where inevitable death always begins so I rolled up my sleeves and watered them on day one anyway.

not to toot my own horn🥳, but I am pretty good at a lot of things. Plants is not one of them. Sorry mums!

🙏 please last until Sunday! And if they last longer, they will be soooo good on my front porch🙏
