The overwhelming outpouring of support over the past few days has meant more than I can put into words. Thank you to everyone who has stopped by the store, called, sent messages, or simply reached out with words of encouragement. Every visit, every conversation, and every kind gesture has reminded me how special this community truly is.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue growing Marion Collective alongside our amazing local vendors and all of you. Your support gives me so much excitement for what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to keep building a place that brings our community together.

​Did you know that before the 1920s, salt shakers didn't really exist? Salt would easily clump together due to moisture, so people used small "salt cellars" and spoons. Everything changed when the Morton Salt Company started adding magnesium carbonate to their blend, making it free-flowing and paving the way for the modern shaker sets we love today!

☕ Did you know that the handle on your teacup wasn't always there? Before the mid-1700s, tea was sipped from small porcelain bowls imported from China. As tea became hotter and more popular in Europe, British potters added the handle to save everyone's fingers!
​Even better, the saucer was originally used as a shallow dish to pour the tea into so it would cool down faster for drinking.

As many of you have noticed over the past few months, Marion Collective has been going through an exciting transition. I’m thrilled to share that I’m beginning a new chapter as the sole owner of the store!

My vision is simple: to continue building a business rooted in honesty, integrity, and genuine relationships, with our incredible vendors, our customers, and our community.

I want to sincerely thank everyone for your patience, encouragement, and support throughout this transition. Because of you, we’ve come out stronger, and I’m excited for what the future holds for Marion Collective.
