A paraprosdokian is a derivative of a Greek word which means beyond expectation. It is a wordplay in which the final part of a phrase or sentence is unexpected and often humorous. For instance:

Hospitality is the art of making guests feel like their at home 'when you wish they were.
women spend more time wondering what men are thinking than men spend thinking.
If I had a dollar for every girl that found me unattractive ,they would eventually find me very attractive.
I find it ironic that the colors red,white and blue stand for freedom,until they are flashing behind you.
