We would like to thank everyone who supported our business, other local businesses, vendors etc at this weekend’s WNC Bigfoot Festival. Special thanks to Bigfoot 911 for creating and managing it and the City of Marion for hosting. Thank you to the Marion Business Association, public works department, Marion PD, Marion FD, EMS, Festival volunteers and so many others. I’d also like to especially thank our employees, family and friends that helped us get through the day.
Flavors On Main will be closed on Monday to clean up and also give the employees some much needed rest.

WOW what a week/weekend!
From serving the Amazing Baxter Team for three shifts and three days, to hosting a Spirit Night and fundraising for Eastfield Global Magnet School then Kicking off Friday Night Lights for our 9th season at the Titan Stadium and fundraising for the MHS Titan Booster Club, then to cheering on all of the softball teams and fundraising efforts of our local McDowell Special Olympic athletes at Maple Leaf to having the opportunity to serve and help fundraise for the McDowell County Youth Football League at the 2026 Youth Recreation League Jamboree held at Titan Stadium and then…..
Bigfoot bringing his people and taking over Marion.
We have to give a well deserved shoutout to our store team that handled the madness like PRO’s and for our event teams that handled eleven events in three days! Thank you to all of the local businesses and organizations that chose Pelican’s to be a part of your events this past week and thank you to all of our customers that chose us to cool you off and satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s all because of you that we are able to donate and pour back into our community the way we do and we are forever grateful for the love and support you’ve given us over the last nine Snoball seasons. We are truly blessed and GOD is so good!

Hey, y'all. I try to post something on here every day I'm open, but this week I make no guarantees. I'm trying my best to get ready and well-stocked for the WNC Bigfoot Festival this Saturday.

In case I don't get around to posting otherwise:

• I am very sad about Dolly, and Tim
• I love dogs a lot (today is National Dog Day)
• Happy birthday, Mother Teresa (today)
• Yay for equality! (today is Women's Equality Day)
• I didn't even know there was a "National Secondhand Wardrobe Day" (yesterday) but we're all about that
• You should probably take a few minutes to look up at the stars every night, whether or not there's a lunar eclipse (tonight?)
