The idea for Crafty Curl was conceived by Anne Bousselot, a lifetime crocheter and crafter. Anne loves to play with yarn and to design and create handcrafted items. On this page you can find many of Anne's creations as well as those of some of her talented friends. You can also learn where Anne will be displaying her work. Most of Anne's creations are for sale. If you see something you like that's been sold, speak up! Many items can be recreated. Of course, all hand-crafted items are unique and no two are exactly the same. While Anne doesn't typically take custom orders, some will be considered. If Anne won't take on a custom order personally, she knows many crafters and can often find someone who will complete a special project. Enjoy your visit, and come back soon!

Have I mentioned the bag I took on my latest adventure? I really liked it, but it didn’t hold up very well — and there were a few things I wanted to change.

The biggest issues? It couldn’t hold my laptop, and the strap pocket was on the wrong end for how I wear the bag.

So… I recreated it.

I didn’t have a pattern — just the original bag — so I had to figure out how everything went together. I tried several new techniques along the way, and while it’s not the prettiest thing I’ve ever made, it is **so functional**. I’m excited to test it as my personal item on a flight next week!

Now I’m curious:

It's hard to not do any promotion of my work since it's out in an actual storefront!

Wolf Den Market Place now has over 70 vendors, and I'm just one. Their grand opening was held yesterday, and I expect great things to happen here!

Rivive! After some time without an outlet, it's time to return to a little promotion.

Crafty Curl now has a location at Wolf Den Market Place in Lindale Mall, Cedar Rapids! Grand Opening is Sunday, March 1st.

Come check out what the many vendors have to offer--Vintage, collectibles, hand-crafted items, housewares, jewelry, candles, drinkware, and so much more!

Who would be interested in doing a Eastern Iowa/local crafty Advent Calendar exchange for 2025?

What's involved? You would buy/make 25 craft-themed gifts and wrap them all in matching paper in a bag/box marked with "your" paper. Gifts #1-24 should average maybe $5 in value. Gift #25 will be the Christmas Day finale and should be a greater value.

I would collect the gifts in November 2025, redistribute to all the other bags/boxes and then back to the participants by the end of November. In December, you'll enjoy opening a surprise gift daily.

Because participants enjoy a variety of crafts, the variety of gifts should be amazing!
