My name is Su Carney. I am the owner of Yosemite Gifts. I do not promote any type of violence. I came to the town late and did not see the interactions that took place on front of my store. I believe in America, the land where you can disagree but still love one another. Talk things out and come to a common ground. This should of never happened in front of my store.
I myself am a half bread. I left my country Korea when I was 5-1/2 years old because I was afraid to leave my house. I looked different and the other children made fun of me. Then I came here to America and had to put up with people still not being nice to me because I looked different. I am the very last person on earth that is prejudice against anyone or anything
People are coming up and attacking me personally, and my store (when I was never outside) . I was not involved in anyway. I understand that Todd was out there and said some things that I do not agree with especially in front of my business.
Everyone is welcome in my store, pink, black, purple, bold, tatted , or homosexual. I have been yelled at by people listening to things that are not true that I was out there saying hurtful things when I was not outside of my store. Just minding my own business working. I have traveled all over the world and have friends from many walks of life and all that matters to me is the Heart. I am so sadden by all this.
I would like to apologize for the interactions that took place in front of my store and so not in any way condone any aggressive behavior. I feel bad this all took place because we all want the same thing, “Love and Understanding”
I was able to have some conversations with people from the BLM movement and now also have a better understanding of why saying "All lives matter" back to "Black lives matter" is not an appropriate response as they are the ones that need the help with the current situation of race in our country.
I want to add. Thank you to all the people that knows I would never say the things I'm being accused of, and that this is not who I am, that knows I love everyone.
Even when people are not peaceful I pray they find there way to love and happiness.
