Taking teamwork to new heights...😅🪢

The WDC crew spent a day at UPBC’s High Ropes Course, putting our balance and problem-solving skills to the test.

Who knew construction could be such great training for tightrope walking? Don’t let us fool you, though. These challenges are a lot harder than they look!

Thank you to our friends at UPBC for being such great instructors and hosts!

You don't want a kitchen that is only beautiful for now; the goal is a kitchen that is classic and timeless at its core, with enough character and flexibility to grow with you. 🌱

This home in Harvey, MI, is a perfect example. We are so excited to see how it evolves over the years.

Timeless table: Lumber2Love
Cabinetry: Showplace Cabinetry, installed by Schwalbach Kitchen Specialists By JDT Design Co.

Chocolay Kitchen Remodel Part 1 ✨️

Tucked along the Chocolay River in Harvey, this kitchen was once divided into three separate areas: a boxed-in dining room, a closed-off kitchen, and an underutilized sunroom. We took down the walls and transformed them into one bright, open space for this family to gather.

The palette is soft and neutral, layered with warm wood tones and quartz that catches the light throughout the day.

Every detail was chosen with real life in mind. A place for morning coffee, long dinners, and everyone ending up in the same space.

More photos coming soon!

Last week, our team traded the job site for a day of volunteering at Upper Peninsula Bible Camp!

During our visit, we built a new accessible ramp and staircase for one of the camp’s buildings.

It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day of the job, but days like this are a good reminder of why we love what we do. There’s something special about using our skills to give back to a place that has shaped summers and created memories for generations in our community.

We’re so proud of this crew and grateful for the opportunity to be part of a project that will serve campers for years to come.

We're excited to introduce the newest member of the Wilbur Design + Construct field crew, lan!

A Detroit native with a love for finish carpentry, lan brings the kind of care and attention to detail that our projects demand.

When he's not on the job site, you can find him exploring the outdoors, hiking or playing music.
