Hey, Bougie friends! I need your vote! I saw a vintage wall candelabra on Pinterest one time that I became obsessed with. Anytime I saw one for sale it was hundreds of dollars. Yesterday someone posted this one for $45!! (Originally $450 but he’s moving tomorrow.) Had AI make 2 options for what I could do with it in our bedroom above the mantel. You can imagine which one I want!!! But do I want to do the work??? Is it too extreme? Give me your thoughts!

Hey there, Bougie friends! The heat is definitely here this week! It’s got us thinking about the upcoming holiday and getting the porch decorated. How about 2 very “chippy” metal chairs and some patriotic pillows to set the vibe?

The paint by number series is finished! Is it museum-worthy? Debatable. Is it cute, charming, bougie enough for a spot that needs some color? Paint by number art is perfect. 3 examples of what you could do next… stretch on a canvas, mat it with a simple and classic frame, or choose something over the top. Haven’t decide what this one will be yet, but look for it in the next That Bougie Garage Sale Date TBD.

Paint by number tip for today: Just go with it! Painting in sections is great, but sometimes you just have to make whatever conditions you have work best. I needed to be outside for a little bit, so I just grabbed the paint set with the lightest colors and filled in what I could. Don’t stress over paint by the number “rules!”

Another paint by number tip: Divide the canvas into sections (one-thirds usually work well). Start on the left side of the canvas and paint across, following the light vs dark instructions from earlier. (If you’re left-handed, you may need to reverse this.) This one is coming along well. Happy painting!

Here’s some paint by number tips! Start with the lightest colors first. Then, move to the darker colors, and finally the darkest. Use the dark colors to paint over the outlines and go back over any numbers over and over to cover them up (might take multiple times). Keep following to see how this one turns out!

Hi, Bougie Friends! There have been so many requests to purchase the hand-finished paint by number pieces, that we’ve decided to start selling them. Follow along as we do this one. At this stage, we flip the canvas over and iron it on low-medium heat to help remove the creases. If you are sure you want to mount it on a frame, that can be done at this point as well. Haven’t decided on the final product for this one, so we’ll keep it like this for now. Stay tuned for more updates!
