Sewing isn’t just a random hobby I picked up. My Nana was a seamstress/tailor, working at Warner Bros. and the Bombay Slipper Factory. She was sewing up until she could no longer do it. I remember her sewing on her machine and teaching me hand stitches when I was little. Nana also had a fondness for bats and birds. That may be where I got my love for them.
She has been gone for one year today. I can think of no better tribute to my second mother than to spend the day at my sewing machine and having a spaghetti dinner tonight. I love you and miss you so much, Nana ❤️
