The difference is in the details.

Styling is what brings a beautifully designed space to life. The right layers, textures, art, and carefully selected accessories create depth, add character, and make a room feel complete.

In luxury interior design, it’s not just about what you put in a space. It’s how every element works together to create a feeling.

Meet Hannah, one of our Interior Designers and the calm, steady presence every design team needs. Swipe to get to know her šŸ«¶šŸ‘‰šŸ»

For the past three years, Hannah has brought her thoughtful eye and specialized expertise to our custom home and remodeling projects. She especially loves the details that shape a home from the ground up, from tile and cabinetry to lighting, plumbing, paint, trim, and fireplace details.

She has a wonderful way of balancing creativity with practicality and making even the smallest selections feel intentional.

Outside the studio, Hannah loves spending time with her son, friends, and family, listening to classic country and bluegrass, and enjoying the slower pace of rural life. A Colorado native and devoted Denver Broncos fan, she’s already passed that love along to her son, Bo, who happily joins her for game days.

And if you ever visit our office, ask Hannah about the Staffordshire dog that mysteriously moves from room to room.

It’s become one of our favorite team traditions and a pretty good reflection of Hannah too: hardworking, quietly fun, and always up for a little office mischief.

We’re so lucky to have her on our team!

Designing a home is a lot to take on, and we really believe there’s something special about having a whole team in your corner.

It means more ideas around the table, different areas of expertise, and multiple sets of eyes making sure all the details come together. While one person may be thinking about furnishings, someone else is reviewing plans, coordinating selections, or making sure the next step is moving along.

Most importantly, our clients never have to feel like they’re navigating the process alone. There’s a team beside them from the first conversations all the way through install day.

Because creating your version of home, should feel effortless and exciting.

What people think I do: create beautiful spaces all day.

What I actually do: talk about the website from the floor šŸ˜‚, solve problems, answer approximately 147 questions, work with an incredible team, collaborate with the stylist, and somehow get it all done.

The finished space may be polished. The process? A team effort, with a little chaos along the way.

There’s a little bit of everything in this home, and that’s what makes it feel so personal.

The kitchen is bright and easygoing, with soft green cabinetry and warm wood details. Just around the corner, a hidden scullery gives all the hardworking kitchen stuff its own place. Then the mood completely changes in the lounge, where dark walls, comfortable seating, and the homeowners’ piano create a cozy spot that feels entirely its own.

We also love the quieter details throughout, from family photos and artwork to patterned drapery, a tucked-away office, and a primary bath that feels light and calm.

Different moods, different purposes, but all designed around the people who live here.

5 things that make a home bar feel ready for entertaining:

✨ Give it some personality. A rich, saturated color instantly separates the bar from the surrounding rooms and makes it feel like its own experience.

✨ Keep the essentials within reach. Open shelving makes glassware and favorite bottles easy to grab when friends are over.

✨ Mix in warm materials. Wood shelving, brass details, and mirrored panels keep the deeper palette feeling warm and inviting.

✨ Make room for more than w**e. A beverage refrigerator and generous counter space mean everything you need for cocktails, w**e, or an easy nightcap has a place.

✨ Add the finishing touches. Beautiful glassware, flowers, and collected pieces make the bar feel like part of the home rather than simply a place to store bottles.

A good home bar makes entertaining easier, but it should also make you want to pour a drink and enjoy it yourself.

5 interior design trends we’re leaving behind 🫣

At New South Home, we believe the best interiors are designed to feel collected, personal, and lived in, not dictated by whatever happens to be trending.

From open shelving everywhere to matching furniture sets, all-white interiors, fast furniture, and gray in every room, these are five trends we think deserve a second look.

1. Open shelving everywhere
We love an open shelf, but it works best when used intentionally, especially in smaller or more limited spaces. Not every wall needs one.

2. Matching furniture
Especially in bedrooms, buying the entire matching set can make a space feel too predictable. We prefer a more curated, collected look that feels like it came together over time.

3. All-white interiors
Beautiful? Absolutely. Practical for every household? Not always. Between children, pets, and a love of red w**e, we appreciate a little color. It also brings more personality and depth to a home.

4. Fast furniture trends
Your home should be an investment, not a revolving door of trends. We’d rather choose pieces that are well-made, timeless, and designed to look beautiful for years to come.

5. Gray everywhere
We’ve always loved mixing cool and warm tones. When gray takes over an entire space, the result can feel a little flat. Layering tones creates much more warmth, dimension, and personality.

Because great interior design isn’t about following every trend. It’s about knowing what works for your home, your lifestyle, and how you want to live.

Which one would you add to the list?
