Another one pieced...well, the center anyway!

This is Jelly Roll Relish from Fat Quarter Shop. I used two Jelly Rolls from Corey Yoder of Coriander Quilts, combining Canning Day and Coriander Seeds!

The center is together, but it still needs a solid inner border and pieced outer borders before I can call the quilt top finished. Getting closer!

I’ve found so much joy in slowing down and sharing the progress along the way. As a quilter, I know how much I love seeing things “piece” together. Hahaha! So I hope you’re enjoying these little updates as much as I’m enjoying sharing them.

You can be right and still handle it wrong.

We’ve all been there. You know you’re right. You’ve got the facts to back it up. But somewhere along the way, the conversation becomes more about proving your point than making a difference.

Here’s something worth remembering: The way you deliver the truth can determine whether someone is willing to receive it.

That doesn’t mean avoiding difficult conversations, compromising your convictions, or pretending something is okay when it isn’t.

It means remembering that truth and kindness can go hand in hand. You can be direct without being disrespectful. You can be firm without being harsh.

Before your next difficult conversation, ask yourself one question: Am I trying to make a point, or am I trying to make a difference?

Being right matters. But how we treat people along the way matters even more.

These photos really fail to give these beauties justice.

We had a blast digging and digging for big and small crystals.

We have some larger pieces soaking to clean them up. You never know what might unfold in our final reveal.

I think we are making it a point to have a crystal mining date once a month. In the cooler months it will be very refreshing.

I'm telling you, that mountain of dirt we are digging on, is surrounded by the quachita mountains. The view is breathtaking. Sitting in God's beautiful creation restores my soul and reminds me how BIG God is. It is truly a blessing to share it with someone you love. Lester Hires.
