Wanted to post pictures of a recent job we worked on that turned out to be a really neat looking fireplace. I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Manorino owner of TRM Construction for quite a few years as we met in the early 2000’s. Masonry chimney caps just completed to repair cracked crown. Done in customer selected copper powder coat with powder coating done on site to flashing to match the cap.
All materials used to cap the chimney accompanied by a lifetime warranty. Our work also comes with a guarantee so permanent fix and permanent “no worries” about this issue again. So it’s been a busy season for us as we are fortunate and blessed to have this issue. In turn, we haven’t had an opportunity to showcase what we do.

This is a new construction that is a second home and also an Airbnb. We completed this installation from start to finish, which we always welcome a challenge.

The wood stove was imported from Europe, with difficult interpretations in English and using metric measurements for installation. Challenge excepted we can install this and meet manufacturer installation requirements and also meet US national code requirements. Wasn’t easy but we conquered it. We had hearthpad and heat shields custom made in steel and then powder coated on site.

The logs were cut with precision to install new Stainless Steel insulated chimney, which all pipe and components were custom powder coated to match the new metal roof. This is entire job from, stove to all materials were one of a kind. All custom and not to mention at one point it required installation at minimum about 60-70 ft from ground level using a 40ft ladder from the 3rd tier deck on the side of this beautiful mountain overlook. Pictures will show beginning to completion pictures as it’s an awesome property and 1 of a kind installation. Check it out!!!

Awesome!!!

A huge shout out to these guys!! After spending thousands over the last 4 years with our gas company to NOT fix our 2 fireplaces, Justin spent a couple hours just cleaning & adjusting and now they both work like a charm!! Reasonably priced & excellent customer service hands down!!

Another one for the books! Installation of a Vermont Castings Encore with Transition doors. Stainless steel , 0ipe off of stove, liner for the chimney and all stainless steel caps to repair leaking crown. All venting materials and chimney caps are warranted for life! Warranty also transferable on materials if needed. A tax credit also offered on particular wood stoves meeting the credit requirements for emissions. We can help you make your project a reality . Another installation completed. This one was unique in that the Vermont Casting wood/coal stove was refurbished with some new parts as it is no longer manufactured. All piping was replaced with new double wall pipe on the interior, which reduced the clearances to the wall moving the stove back to make more room in the space.
All new Stainless Steel Class A chimney through the attic and roof. All Class A chimney materials used by Shen Valley Fireplace and Chimney accompany a lifetime warranty on the materials. Another awesome installation for great people! Check it out!

Recent review I am quite proud of this is why I do this for a living! Obviously the quality of work is a big part of what we pride ourselves in and the permanent fix, but the fact that people are more comfortable in their own home is the “grand slam” knowing we might have saved a home, countless memories,a pet, and most importantly a family member or loved one.

Comments: From the initial estimate, to the final crowning achievement of the installation of our new stainless steel flue liner and the custom designed chimney crown and flue caps, Justin Gulick and his crew displayed the professionalism, expertise, and determination to complete a job, that at times, appeared to be virtually impossible. Faced with having to correct what could have been a deadly CO2 gas and fire hazard presented by my HWBB oil burner heating ventilation system, while all the time having to deal with what can only be described, at best, as an unseen and undectable shoddy original chimney construction build, the Shen Valley crew stayed focused, positive, and polite throughout the entire process. Equally impressive to my wife and I, was Justins adherence to the old school work ethic of abiding by his original labor estimate, even when the job ran over by about twice the time he had anticipated. We cant thank him and his crew enough, and we highly recommend him for all your fireplace and chimney concerns. Thanks, guys! Job well done! My wife and I will be sleeping easier for many years to come, knowing that the unseen hazards have been corrected 100% to our great relief and satisfaction.
