I am trying to get my “bullet/memory” journal going again (it’s been a couple of years), but as I was waiting on kids’ appointments today, I was working on a “calendar” spread, and royally messed it up. So, I decided that wasn’t what I was going to do today…. And here we are with some chaos art. I picked up a few geometry tools and my Pentel Energel pens, and just started making circles and patterns. I don’t know where else this will go, but I’m going to leave it, and come back to it some day — or not. Isn’t art funny?

A bit of a doodle, inspired by . Sometimes even creatives must vary their craft, even if it’s not something they are good at. I’ve never been the most creative person, but it’s a goal that I gave myself this year — to find and lock into my creativity in different ways. So, for today, it was a little doodle. The last 2 days, I’ve completed the more complicated animals (complicated, because every yarn artist works in “the round” differently, and I had to make adjustments to the pattern to fit my style. I also don’t love that these animals don’t have actual legs, but for this set, I am going to leave it). All I have left is the sheep, the cow, and the stars! Hoping to finish it up before the weekend, so I can focus my efforts on other Christmas preparations!

I am slowly, but surely working through the figures of the Nativity for our family! I’m wishing I had a few different colors, but that yarn is on back order, so I may make yet another one after this, when I can get my hands on the yarn. There is also a Resurrection set that I’ll be making for Easter! Nice to have the hooks working again. Hoping to finish this set before Christmas!
