Project Title: Sculpted in Alder
Location: Verona, WI
Neighborhood: Evans Crossing

Brief:
A thoughtfully designed modern kitchen that creates a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere inspired by its golf course setting.

Description:
Bathed in natural light and grounded by a palette of warm organic materials, this kitchen reimagines contemporary living through a distinctly refined lens. Rustic alder Dybdahl Custom Cabinetry introduces softness and texture, its natural grain lending understated warmth to the clean architectural lines. In contrast, expansive porcelain countertops sweep across the oversized island in dramatic veining, creating a sculptural centerpiece that feels both luxurious and enduring.

Matte black fixtures and hardware sharpen the composition with modern contrast, while stacked stone columns and pale oak flooring infuse the room with an earthy, grounded sensibility. The glass backsplash reflects light with a quiet sheen, adding depth without
overpowering the restrained material palette.

Designed to flow seamlessly into the adjacent living area, the kitchen balances high-performance functionality with gallery-like restraint. Every detail from the integrated
storage to the layered textures speaks to a home crafted for elevated everyday living.

Cabinetry: Dybdahl Custom Cabinetry
Cabinetry Detail: Rustic Alder–Stain with wire brushing
Countertops: Atlas Plan Porcelain, Calacatta Polished 20mm
Appliances: SubZero/ Fisher & Paykel / La Cornue
Plumbing: Kohler

Who says a powder bath needs to be dull?
The styling of this powder bath is minimal but intentional.
This room embraces drama with unapologetic flair, the walls are enveloped in a richly textured, near-black wallpaper, where painterly branches unfurl in soft celadon and ivory blossoms.
Anchoring the room is a crisp, white vanity with sculptural simplicity. The countertop gives way to a striking sink blooming with floral motifs that feel almost like a continuation of the walls.
Above, a round mirror, framed in a slender gold rim floats like a porthole, reflecting just enough to deepen the room without breaking its cocoon-like intimacy. Delicate pendant lights descend from the ceiling and cast a soft diffused light that dances across the metallic threads in the wallpaper, creating a subtle shimmer.
The space strikes a balance between bold expression and refined restraint, a small room that leaves a lasting impression.

POV: you’re walking through a home designed with intention at every turn ✨

This new construction home in Oregon, WI was thoughtfully designed around the homeowner’s lifestyle, priorities, and long-term vision. From the earliest planning stages, the goal was to create a space that feels timeless, refined, and deeply personal—a home that balances beauty with everyday functionality.

Working hand-in-hand with and , we collaborated closely to translate the homeowner’s ideas and inspirations into a cohesive, seamless design.
A defining element of this project is the custom white oak cabinetry designed by Dybdahl Design Group, created specifically to enhance both form and function. Each cabinet layout was tailored to maximize storage, improve flow, and bring a sense of quiet sophistication to the interiors. The cabinetry plays a central role in grounding the design, offering custom solutions that feel intentional.

Every detail was considered through the lens of the homeowner’s needs—spaces that feel open yet warm, finishes that feel elevated yet livable, and a layout that supports both daily routines and meaningful moments at home.
A true collaboration — where vision, expertise, and attention to detail come together to create a home that feels both refined and welcoming.
