One of my customers recently asked me if I could make a baby barn owl for them. Of course I said yes, I love trying new things! So I got to work, and along the way, I photo documented the process to keep track of all the materials I used and what steps I took (mostly for my personal reference). It turns out that the process photos are great ones to share with all of you to show the work I put into my creations! I started with a wire armature and needle-felted wool body base, and covered that skeleton in feathers (from my chickens) and used foam clay for the feet. I am very happy with the way this owlet turned out!

Felt and Feathers is back in business with a new name! Klara's Critters is now getting started on Etsy. Business through Facebook will stay the same, with custom orders, special requests, and all ARBA rabbit breeds available via messenger! This summer, I plan on expanding to cavies and making ordering simpler through Etsy. I'm excited to start actively felting again and to share my latest creations. Check out the new silkie chickens!

I was super happy with how these came out 💕💕 it was a great opportunity to make these for ANDRC nationals!!

We had these made by Felt and Feathers and will be donating them for the ANDRC Auction this weekend at the Netherland Dwarf Nationals! Tort, black otter, himi and fox! Aren't they incredible~made by a Minnesota youth whose sister shows dwarfs! Be sure to bring extra money to bid on these cuties if you are attending the show/banquet!

Hello all! I am starting on making my first felt cavy (guinea pig) and am need of reference photos for correct show type!! Good profile and front view photos would be nice, top and rear view would be a bonus. A Google search doesn't yield many good results so I am asking here! Ideally short haired cavies to start, and I may someday work my way up to the long haired ones.
