People have been asking so here's a little more about the bathroom picture I posted last week. The room underwent a total transformation including a new tray ceiling but the true focal point was the hand-carved panel made for us by a local Master Woodcarver. It depicts water lilies which is very appropriate as this home has gorgeous lake views. The panel was then painted to resemble stone by our faux-finish painter. I find it is especially important in small spaces to keep the lines and surfaces as clean and cohesive as possible with a single focal point rather than making each element an attention grabber. Subtle points of interest are easier to live with on a day to day basis, especially in a more compact space. Here we kept the color palette fairly neutral with subtle touches of the client's favorite blue-green color. The mirrored sliding door storage cabinets over the vanity visually expand the space while providing storage galore. Here are some additional views of the Bathroom including the before pictures.

PPG recently sent me a wonderful booklet highlighting their paints and announcing their "Color of the Year" for 2016. It is a soothing green with a slight blue undertone called "Paradise Found". http://www.ppgvoiceofcolor.com/. They picked "Paradise Found" because it represents the ease and rejuvenation one feels in nature while being a subtle and soft background. This is a great color to use to accent a neutral space. Here are some examples of how we used a similar color to great effect in client's spaces.
