I had to go through pain to get here.

And I mean that in more ways than one. šŸ’œ

Session 4 of 8.

Halfway through physical therapy, and I can see the difference. Movements that felt impossible are becoming possible. Things that hurt differently before are starting to move differently now.

It’s still painful. It’s still work. But THIS is what progress looks like. šŸ¤ŒšŸ¾

Sometimes progress isn’t this huge, dramatic breakthrough.

Sometimes it’s one more inch.
One more movement.
One more thing your body can do today that it couldn’t do yesterday.

And sometimes you have to look back at where you started to realize just how far you’ve actually come.

I had to go through the pain to get here—but I didn’t go through it for nothing.

This is progress in action. šŸ¤ŒšŸ¾šŸ’œ

4 down. 4 to go.

And I’m getting closer and closer to getting back to what I love. 🄹

I’m proud of me. šŸ’œ

Not just because I made it through another physical therapy session. Not just because I pushed through the pain. But because I’ve continued to show up for myself through every part of this journey.

I’ve recognized the person in the mirror for a long time. I’ve always known she was strong. What this journey has shown me is just how much strength she carries—even on the days when my body is hurting, healing, and fighting to regain what it once could do.

I don’t measure my strength by how little something hurts. I see it in the fact that I keep showing up, even when it does.

This was session 3 of 8.

Yes, there were tears. Yes, it hurt. Yes, there are still movements my body is fighting to give me.

But I’m stronger than some of the things I used to tell myself.

And today, I can actually say it and mean it:

I’m so proud of you.
I’m so proud of ME. šŸ„¹šŸ’œ

Three sessions down. Five to go.

And every session puts me a little closer to getting back to something I love.

I’m coming back. Not as the same woman I was before—but as the woman this journey continues to reveal.

2 down. 6 to go. 🌱

I’m realizing that healing isn’t just about getting back what I lost.

It’s also about discovering what I gained along the way.

Patience. Gratitude. Endurance. A deeper appreciation for the things I once did without a second thought.

There’s beauty in being able to say, ā€œI can do a little more today than I could yesterday.ā€

And there’s beauty in NOW—even when now isn’t where I ultimately want to be.

I don’t have to wait until the storm passes to be thankful.

I can be grateful here.
I can grow here.
I can bloom here.

And I can keep going. šŸ‘‘šŸŒ±

Happy 22nd Birthday to my beautiful daughter! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‚šŸ’•

22 years ago, God blessed me with you, and getting to watch you grow into the young woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

I’ve watched you grow, learn, overcome, change, and keep becoming. Life hasn’t always handed you the easiest road, but through every season, I’ve seen your strength—even in the moments when you may not have seen it yourself.

As you step into 22, I pray this year brings you peace, joy, new experiences, answered prayers, genuine love, and the confidence to trust the woman you’re becoming. I pray you give yourself grace, take up space, laugh until your stomach hurts, make memories you’ll tell stories about for years, and remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out right now.

You have so much life ahead of you. šŸ’•

No matter how grown you get, you’ll always be my baby. And no matter where life takes you, I will always be in your corner—loving you, praying for you, rooting for you, and probably still giving you advice you didn’t ask for. šŸ˜‚

Happy 22nd Birthday, baby girl. šŸ„³šŸŽˆ

I love you more than words could ever properly explain. ā¤ļø

There are things I once did without thinking that became victories worth celebrating.

Putting on my own bra.
Cutting a potato.
Getting dressed without needing help.

Small things—until you lose the ability to do them.

This season taught me a different definition of movement.

Because even when my body required stillness, my life didn’t stop moving. I adapted. I created differently. I built differently. I learned to appreciate every little piece of independence that returned to me.

Today, physical therapy hurt.

But I moved.

And looking back over these months, I realized something else…

Even in stillness, I moved.
Even through the pain, I grew.
And somehow, through it all—

I still bloomed. šŸŒ±šŸ‘‘

Today, I smiled differently. ā¤ļø

For the last few months, this arm has taken me through a journey I never expected. There was pain. There were unanswered questions. There were moments when I didn’t know what recovery would look like—or what I would be able to return to.

But somewhere in the middle of being forced to slow down, I started seeing things differently.

I saw my family show up for me.

I saw who could hold space for me when I couldn’t show up as the version of myself everyone was accustomed to.

I saw things change that I thought would remain the same.

And most importantly, I saw myself more clearly.

Today I finally received the news I had been hoping for: no shoulder surgery. šŸ™ŒšŸ¾

No tear. I received my injection today, physical therapy is next, and now we heal.

But I’ve realized something: healing started long before today’s appointment.

Sometimes life will interrupt you so completely that you have no choice but to sit inside the stillness. And while you’re asking, ā€œWhy is this happening?ā€ life may quietly be showing you what you couldn’t see while you were moving.

These months hurt.

Physically. Emotionally. In ways I didn’t expect.

But they also gave me clarity.

And clarity gave me something I didn’t realize I needed—the freedom to see what comes next differently.

So this smile isn’t just because I don’t need surgery.

It’s gratitude.

It’s relief.

It’s I made it through another hard thing.

It’s knowing there is still healing ahead of me while finally being able to see the other side.

If you’re in a season right now where everything feels interrupted, uncertain, or completely different from what you planned, don’t count yourself out.

Sometimes the interruption becomes the very place where you meet the clearest version of yourself.

Today, I’m grateful for the answers.
I’m grateful for the people who showed up.
I’m grateful for the lessons.
I’m grateful for the journey.
And I’m really, really grateful for this smile. ā¤ļø

Healing looks good from here.
