Got gutter guards? Don’t assume that means you’re protected.
Take a look at what we found underneath these.
Small debris had worked its way through the openings, started decomposing, and eventually collected right over the drain.
The gutter had guards on it…
…but the water still had nowhere to go. 😬
That’s why there’s no single gutter guard that’s automatically right for every house.
Broad leaves, flower petals, pine needles, seeds, pollen, and roof grit all behave differently. The surrounding trees and debris load should be considered when choosing a system.
For many North Texas homes, we recommend a quality stainless-steel micro-mesh gutter guard that prevents much finer debris from getting inside.
And even then, we’re upfront about it: gutter guards can significantly reduce maintenance, but no system should be treated as magically maintenance-free.
If you’re considering gutter guards—or wondering whether the ones you already have are actually doing their job—we’d be happy to take a look.
