This beautiful cabinet comes from France, and is dated to around 1860. Known as a 'vitrine', the glass doors allowed for the owner to display a variety of objects. The curved shelves and painted interior make for a striking backdrop for treasured items. The shelves even have 'plate grooves' to ensure dishware or art can sit up without risk of slipping out of position. Additional storage and shelving is located in the bottom cabinet. Thoughtful details like these, as well as unique design, are part of what makes antique furniture so special!

Unsure of what to exhibit? Some of our go-tos are coral, antique ironstone, or a cozy vignette containing books, candles, and small keepsakes.

Isn't this antique settee darling? Acquired from a designer's home in Montpellier, France, it has the kind of quiet charm that can add a bit of magic to any room. It is a late 1800's Provençal style, though the upholstery was fashioned more recently by its previous owner/designer, who enjoyed this bench in their own home.

It would be beautiful in a primary bedroom or an oversized closet/dressing room. However, my favorite dream spot for it would be in a sunny, communal area of the home, such as a sitting room or morning room- somewhere where it can contribute to the conversation as well as the ambiance.

These corbel-style shelves provide an opportunity to highlight a special piece of art or sculpture on your wall. The oak wall ‘sokkel’ (Norwegian, meaning base/pedestal) is gorgeous in its simplicity; a solid foundation to support your favorite vase or perhaps an antique bust. The Swedish corbel shelf has a beautiful patina on its painted surface and works wonderfully to support and oil painting or a mirror with a small candelabra in front of it. We love how versatile they are!

Louise Philip “Billot” butcher block with bronze plaquette and cowhead Origin: Brussels, Circa: 1800s
This piece is always a favorite as people explore the shop! The butcher’s block was used for over 60 years, resulting in the deep contour you see. The block was made into a piece of furniture by a company in Brussels, who added the backboard and legs. The backboard features the maker’s tag, advertising that they make benches, iceboxes, counters, shelving, and butcher supplies. It even has their address and telephone number in Brussels. A glass top has been added to make a level surface for a functioning table, which does not take away from being able to admire the patina of the original work surface. Drawers add to the functionality of this unique piece.

Ways you can integrate it into your home:
- add more workspace to a large kitchen or place it in your hidden prep kitchen for a nostalgic feel
- use it as a striking entry table or within an oversized laundry room as a convenient spot to fold and organize

It’s all in the details, and this fun piece comes with the kind of details that truly spark your imagination. This antique carousel ticket counter comes from France. The copper plate on the countertop must have felt the exchange of thousands of tickets; the original key and lock kept cash and valuables safe; the original green, yellow, and gold paint has been left to develop an authentic patina.

And the crown jewel in this piece is the original height stick, which must have fulfilled (or possibly rejected!) countless children’s hopes to ride the merry-go-round!

More than just a birdhouse, a dovecote was a status symbol in medieval and Elizabethan England. Construction was restricted to lords and the clergy, and provided a ‘living larder’ with access to fresh eggs and meat provided by the pigeons housed in the ‘cote’. Restrictions were later lifted and there was a surge in construction of these structures. They tapered off by the 18th century, though many survive today. They came in a variety of styles and materials- our wood one would have fit neatly tucked under an eave!

This piece can now have a second life in your home, as a wall art piece or addedd in to your garden space.
