Another custom build delivered! 🌿

We recently built this custom cedar planter for tombeanfeed to complement their entrance and custom signage at The Feed Yard. We love seeing how it looks installed and planted!

This is one of the things we enjoy most about custom woodworking — taking an idea and building something specifically for the space.

Thank you again for trusting Wood Designs by J & H with your project!

Have a space that needs something custom? Send us a message. We build cedar planters, raised beds, privacy-screen planters, storage solutions, and other custom wood projects throughout the McKinney/Plano area.

Cedar Planter Boxes with String Light Posts – Handmade & Custom

Add string lights anywhere without digging holes or setting permanent posts.

Handmade cedar planter boxes with tall cedar posts are perfect for adding string lights to patios, driveways, decks, outdoor seating areas, and backyards.

The planter box provides an attractive base for the post and can be filled with flowers, plants, or decorative greenery. Add appropriate ballast/weight inside the base as needed for stability.

Each one is handmade to order by Wood Designs by J & H.

Available individually or as sets — great for creating a complete string-light setup around a patio or entertaining area. Custom post heights and planter sizes available, along with Cedar Shield™ protection or our Signature Finish™.

Pickup available in the McKinney/Plano area. Local delivery available.
