This....this is why I love my husband. He's my biggest cheerleader. Among all the piled up boxes, moss containers all over, candles curing on the mantle, business signs set up by the fireplace (simply because we haven't put it away 🤣🤣) He cheers me on...helps me set up for the Ateliers, helps me cook the appetizers, helps me clean, cuts the wax for the candles, and lives in the craziness that has become a new home based business. I applied for my official home occupation permit through McMinnville, and just waiting on it to be approved. Its been quite crazy the last 6-7 months here. But, I'm doing it....we're doing it, together. He never complains, maybe an eye roll here or there if I'm being totally frantic and psychotic because I want absolute perfection...🤣🤣 But he's always there. Thank you my love, for being the best partner ever, and always being right at my side. I love you to eternity, and you're my bestest friend in the whole wide world! 💚🌿🌱

Yesterday I introduced my new collection of Pacific Northwest inspired candles. 💚

Over the next 5 days, I'll be taking you on a journey through each scent, one at a time.

Every candle captures a different place, a different moment, and a different feeling found here in the Pacific Northwest.

I hope these stories transport you to misty mornings, hidden forest trails, rugged coastlines, and peaceful mountain hollows. 🌲🗻🌊

First Up: Morning Mist

"As the first light slips through towering evergreens, a veil of mist drifts quietly across the forest floor. Dew clings to emerald moss, the air is cool and impossibly fresh, and the world feels untouched. Every breath carries the quiet promise of a new day beneath the
trees."

The first impression is cool, clean air drifting through the forest just before sunrise. Bright white tea opens the fragrance with a soft, calming freshness, while the unmistakable scent of petrichor...the earthy aroma after a gentle rain...creates the feeling of mist rising from the forest floor.

As the candle burns, delicate lily of the valley quietly blooms in the background, adding a touch of fresh wildflowers without becoming overly floral. Finally, oakmoss, warm amber, and Atlas cedarwood settle in, wrapping the fragrance in the comforting scent of ancient trees, damp moss, and weathered wood.

Morning Mist is fresh rather than perfumed, peaceful rather than sweet...a quiet walk through an Oregon forest before the world awakens.🗻🌲🌿

🍃 A Little Change here at Moss & Sprig... and Something We've Been Quietly Creating...

When I first dreamed up Moss & Sprig, I imagined sharing more than terrariums. I thought soap would be the next step.

But as this little company has grown, I've learned something important...Not every good idea is the right idea.

The more I thought about what Moss & Sprig truly is, the clearer it became. It's about creating moments of calm. Bringing the Pacific Northwest indoors. Slowing down and breathing a little deeper.

So... we're making a little pivot.

Over the past several months, I've been quietly blending fragrances, testing waxes, designing labels, rewriting stories, and chasing that feeling of standing in an Oregon forest after the rain.

Today, I'm so excited to finally share our very first collection...

Each scent is inspired by a place that has stayed with me...misty coastlines, hidden forest paths, quiet waterfalls, and the peaceful hush that settles over the woods at dusk.

Every candle will be hand-poured in small batches here in McMinnville using a luxurious and creamy virgin coconut soy wax and thoughtfully chosen fragrance blends that tell the story of the Pacific Northwest.

The August Moss & Sprig Botanical Atelier is now open for reservations.

Join us on Friday, August 29th from 6:30–9:00 PM for a quiet evening of creativity, conversation, and the simple joy of building something beautiful with your own hands.

Together, we'll create a living terrarium inspired by the forests of the Pacific Northwest...a miniature landscape of moss, stone, driftwood, and natural textures that you'll enjoy long after the evening ends.

Your Atelier includes:

No two Moss & Sprig creations are exactly alike.

Some become quiet forest paths winding beneath moss covered trees. Others take shape as rocky Oregon landscapes, volcanic stone outcroppings, or peaceful woodland scenes inspired by the Pacific Northwest.

The beauty isn't just in the finished piece, it's in slowing down, creating with your hands, and leaving with something that's uniquely yours.

Every Moss & Sprig terrarium begins with a simple glass bowl...🌿

But layer by layer, it transforms into a beautiful little piece of the Pacific Northwest.

Each material has a purpose from the drainage layer hidden beneath the moss to the final placement of every stone, branch, and patch of green.

It's one of my favorite parts of the Atelier, watching a landscape slowly emerge from what first looks like a handful of rocks and soil.
