With the Holidays fast approacing our homes will be the center of attention. Billy Baldwin an New York designer once quoted "Somewhere between chance and mystery lies imagination.”

Don’t be hestitant to show your love of collections.
How do you show your love of collections you ask? Your grandmothers china is a good start to illustrate your love of antiques. A homemade floral arrangement show your love of flowers and colors. Or show off those tapers and candlesticks. Group them together as a centerpiece.

Who needs a fun fall craft? Crafting fun with Designer Amy!
Introducing Decoupage Pumpkins.
They are so creative and easy to make. They are the most talked about craft in the industry of design this fall.
Supplies Needed:
Syrofoam pumkins (dollar Tree) ceramic are too heavy
Paper napkins, Sizes Cocktail or Dinner
Directions:
1.Take backing off of napkins
2.Cut or tear napkins into strips (I prefer to cut)
3.Use Dura clear varnish/ to glue napkins to pumkin
4.Paint with brush the varnish a section at a time around the pumkin
5.Use Saran Wrap to smooth the napkins down
6.Be sure to match patterns as best as you can
7.Complete top: after drying is complete turn upside down and finish pumpkin
8.Use a Krylon Gold pen to finish the stem.
Hurrah you're done!!!!
Now my design advise starts. I am going to use mine on the fireplace mantel to bring color and shape into the room. I would also recommend you use your pumkins as a centerpiece in a wood or ceramic bowl.

SIMPLE DESIGN IDEAS FOR A QUICK UPDATE!

Hello Home Designers. A very simply way to give your kitchens a BIG upgrade is to change the cabinent hardware out. These 3 simple steps will give your kitchen some new sparkle.
1. Touch up paint chips on your existing doors and drawers.
2. Use a wood cleaner on your stained doors.
3. Replace cabinent hardware along with the hinges so they match the new hardware.

I had a little fun today doing something a little different. A great client asked me to help her with a very special task - she gave me the concept “bourbon birthday”. I’m pretty happy with the final design. What do you think?
