Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Some people described the purpose of life the following way: “to reduce the total misery in the world “ sometimes we get involved in activities like feeding the homeless, health fairs, or even missionary trips to Africa, India and diverse places. Some people ask this question: “what is the use of helping people and their necessities? Any good we can do will be similar to a drop in the bucket “ True a drop in the bucket. In fact when we see the extent human suffering all over the world, it’s not even a drop! We may not be able to help the entire world; In fact God call us to help the world we live, the world of our community, our streets, our family, We don’t have to go to Africa or India or third world nations to help others. ministry begins at our homes, in our community. The little deeds, the act of kindness, thoughtfulness, the spontaneous courtesies, the work of grace and generosity that never reach the spot lights or famous magazines, the ones make by non well known people are the ones that really count. One of the biggest criticisms of us Christians by those that are hurting is that often we are so caught up in blessings that we can’t see those who are hurting. Too often church is a lonely place for the divorced person, the single, the handicapped, and the elderly.
Human misery isn’t just to Africa, India or third world nations. The reality is that misery can be with in our own homes. We are often so caught up in our work, church, and reputation that we fail to hear the silent cry of the members of our homes.
May The Lord in heaven open my eyes today that I may see, my ears that I may hear. Make me sensitive to the silent cry of woe that I may like Jesus mission, relieve some of the human misery.
May The Lord help us. Have a blessed day everyone.
