Words can’t really describe how shocked I was when I was asked to be on the Central Gardens Home Tour for their 50th anniversary. Out of 5-8 homes picked each year, mine?!
🏡
As many of you know, I’m really big into manifesting and setting goals via journaling, vision boards, prayer, and meditation. While I had dreamed about being on the home tour, I thought that was a goal for decades down the road, as we’ve only lived in this home for 5 years. It was a very humbling call to say the least. Write down your goals. Daydream about them and act them out in your mind.
🏡
When I decorate, I collect slowly over time. I’m a vintage lover and now shop owner so I find pieces that I love as they come. There are still many areas of this home that aren’t decorated to my liking yet and each project will come in time. As John says, don’t finish the house because then you’ll want to move! 😆 (not true!)
🏡
When decorating these days, I give myself parameters on what to buy. This has equated itself into having lots of collections. If it fits the theme and fits the location, it can come home. I guess that’s the maximalist part in me. Fish vases are one of my quickly growing collection. These florals - and all throughout the house for the home tour by Everbloom Design - had me gasping when I came home!
🏡
Thank you to the volunteers for the event! They worked so hard for such a fun weekend! And thank you to everyone who reached out and said kind words about my home, I’m happy to share it. I hope it inspires to buy what you love!

Keeping a house clean with three young kids is truly impossible. Very thankful that the tour was just downstairs 😂 and very thankful to John for saying we needed to get out of town for the weekend! Swipe to see where Coco put her newly acquired Bluey pencils and yearbook about 5 minutes after we got home. 🤣
