56 years of designing, building, and shaping the places where people live, work, learn, and grow.

Today, we’re celebrating The Crump Firm and the people who have made this journey possible. Founded by Metcalf Crump 56 years ago today, on September 15th, 1970, we’ve grown alongside the communities we serve, taking on projects across the region and building relationships that last. More than five decades later, Met continues to lead our team and play an active role in the work that keeps us moving forward.

We’re proud of where we’ve been, what we’re working on today, and everyone who has been part of the journey.

Here’s to 56 years.. and plenty more to come.

Bringing Bioventus’ brand to life meant more than just aesthetics—it was about creating a space that reflects their innovative spirit and commitment to healing. Through thoughtful design choices, we blended modern elements, clean lines, and collaborative spaces to embody their mission and vision. The result? A workplace that inspires progress and tells their story from the moment you walk in.

Metcalf Crump, the 95th King of Carnival Memphis, was the keynote speaker at the annual Carnival Memphis Business & Industry Salute Luncheon last week. Because Met is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of The Crump Firm-Architects, the B & I Salute Luncheon honored the profession of architecture. With a record-setting 599 attendees, the luncheon honored five local architects with awards and recognized eight local architectural firms including The Crump Firm-Architects by showing videos of each firm’s work. Principals of the firm who attended the luncheon are shown in the attached photo: Walt Reed, AIA, V.P. of Architecture; Gary Smith, AIA, Senior Architect; ReJohn Lartigue, AIA, Senior Architect; Metcalf Crump, FAIA, Chairman and CEO, and the firm’s two Managing Directors of Interior Design, Jennifer Campbell, IIDA and Hattie Ferrante.
