We had planned a quiet day home to ourselves with some goodies on the grill, but a wreck on Mendenhall took a power pole off at the knees. Lucky no one hurt, but power out all over neighborhood. We went for Mexican instead. Now Nap time. Happy 4th.

It's looking like Country French in Booth 2 this month. Come in to browse!
This beautiful table is fantastic. It will seat 6 comfortably without the leaves, but with both 22 inch leaves in will seat 10 to 12 easily. I love the structure of this marquetry top.
The vintage, lighted china cabinet is from White Furniture company's "Country French" collection and is in perfect condition. This piece is a showstopper!

I love fall! I love fall colors, the smell of the first evening fire of the year, chili simmering, and football on TV. I love the anticipation of the holidays and planning gatherings with family and friends. I love to decorate! But this is 2020, and the season may not look or feel quite like normal. This year we will need to come up with some creative ways to gather and support each other. .. And I still think it is important to DECK THOSE HALLS!!! This year above all others you get to choose - find comfort and joy in keeping with tradition, or break free with something fresh, new, and uplifting just for you. I think the important thing is to set the stage to allow hope, faith, and joy to find a way in.
I would love to hear from you. What are you doing to keep the season bright while keeping you and your family safe this year?
I'm in that odd transition of decorating for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas in the booths, and have a little of something for everyone. I've picked up several new pieces that I'm really excited to display. I love the French parquetry extension table that fits a modern dining room but easily extends to seat 14 comfortably. The tiger-oak serpentine bonnet chest is beautiful, as is the Eastlake washstand. One of my favorites is the beautiful vintage desk from the Peabody that sold before I could get this post completely up. Come and see me! Mask up, stay safe, and I wish you joy!
