About Three Little Wrens

My name is Kristina, and I am the creator of Three Little Wrens. I started out with a career in social work, but had to take a leave of absence when my husband and I found out we were expecting triplets. Yes, I said triplets. After spending two and a half months on hospital bed rest and a minor Pinterest addiction to pass the time, it was time to go home and adjust to the newest additions to our family.

Three Little Wrens was born in the winter of 2016/2017. Once the dust settled, I needed to find an outlet to express myself and decompress from taking care of three babies. I have always enjoyed antiques, refinishing furniture, and creating things with my hands. I started to dabble with making signs for the triplets nursery in our barn. From there, interest continued to grow and it was time to put a name to it. What better than to name it after our triplets! As we observed them in the NICU, they resembled my favorite bird, a wren, they were busy and yet so tiny. The three of them are a symbol of joy, hope, and enthusiasm in life, just as a wren.

We use reclaimed lumber, the best in chalk and mineral paints, and waxes. We now attend several local artisan and farmers markets, holiday strolls, and local events. In addition, we have begun making the move to Etsy and can now we offer these signs to you, for you and your family to enjoy.

At Three Little Wrens we’re all about doing things the right way. That means making our signs from scratch everyday in the same barn where it all started on our little homestead. That means using locally sourced materials of reclaimed lumber. Cutting, painting, sealing, and framing each sign one at a time. Not cutting corners. Not outsourcing anything. Quality materials.
