In the spring I had the honor of making an order for my local city clerks office. ♥️

It was exciting to put my skills to test in making a batch order, design some “retail” packaging and I was left feeling so honored and grateful to be commissioned as a “local artist”.

It ended up being quite bittersweet since I am no longer local and living in Bellevue, Washington.

My husband and I spent over 6 years there and we are already deeply missing friends, food, city and community.

The good news is Bellevue will always be part of me, as the place I fell in love with pottery ♥️

Circled back to a topographical contour type design and experimented with 3 different methods.

The jar is painted, the tumbler feels like a messy inky blue, and the bud vase feels like a sketchy pencil drawing.

There is a certain charm to each style, but I think I prefer the pencil. It feels reminiscent of a hand-drawn map but still looks quite clean.

🪴2025 was a lot of growth.

I had so much fun meeting you, laughing with new friends and making ceramics for you all this year.

I love wrapping up the year with reflection on my goals, and celebrating the progress (not perfection!)… Thank you to the 196 customers who bought my ceramics this year, and 449 folks following along my journey. I’m so grateful to my many vendor friends and market hosts who make being a small business owner such a joy.

I’m excited for what 2026 will bring! Stay tuned as I’ll post more year-end wrap ups and new year intentions.
