I have been working on a crochet Mandala project in honor of my Mom.

The 3 year anniversary of her passing was last week. I have been struggling to figure out a way to honor her. I think Mandalas are gorgeous and so intricate in their design, so I decided that would be perfect. When deciding on which Mandala I wanted to make, I was looking for one that reminded me of the beauty and grace that my mom possessed, but that also reminded me of ballet/ dance because my mom loved it so much. I think the one I chose is perfect.

Here are some progress pictures so far. The colorway ends with the most gorgeous dark purple (my momma’s favorite color). It will be tied to a metal ring and hung on the wall in my house. I can’t wait for it to be complete!

Momma I miss you so much more than I can ever put into words. There are days that it still feels like yesterday that you went to heaven, while some days are easier. I still have almost daily reminders of her and she sends hummingbirds to me all the time. I hope that you are proud of me, Shea and the kids. I love you to the moon and back times infinity! ❤️💔

This month is rough for me. My mom passed away 3 years ago on April 22nd. My mom was the most amazing mom and I miss her everyday!

When she was on hospice, I told her to send me hummingbirds so I knew she was with me! Every time I’m having a bad day a hummingbird shows up. It stops me in my tracks every time! I was talking to my best friend .by.hennek about how rough this month has been for me.

Well, today I get home from work and see an Amazon box on my counter. I was expecting an Amazon package so I moved it so I could open it. When I moved it it was a lot heavier than it should have been. But I didn’t think anything of it…🤣 I opened the box and was very confused. Inside was two bottles of liquid. I pulled it out and saw that it was hummingbird feed. There was another little box inside and that had 2 hummingbird feeders in it. I was so confused. At first, I honestly thought Amazon messed up! I checked the label and it had my name on it. Then I saw a gift receipt. I told my son that the only person that would have sent this was Nicole. I called her and she didn’t answer…cause she was momming. 😂🤣 At the very bottom of the box I found this note. Instant tears!!

I have the most AMAZING bestie! This gift just made my whole day!!! I love you and I am so grateful for you!!! Thank you for loving me during the bad times and the good!! You are the bestest bestie ever!!! ❤️❤️

First Raglan sweater… and I’m OBSESSED 😍🧶

I just finished my latest pattern test for .camty and let me tell you — this Raglan construction was a whole new experience for me… and I LOVED every second of it! Watching it come together so seamlessly was seriously magical ✨

I used Lion Brand Mandala String in the colorway Harmony and the colors are just giving everything they’re supposed to give 💜💙💚

This sweater is comfy, flattering, and now I’m wondering why I didn’t try Raglan style sooner 👀

Have you ever made a Raglan sweater before?! I think I’m officially hooked!

Okay but let’s talk about the REAL crochet struggle… yarn burn 😩🧶

Colorado views, crisp mountain air, and time with our besties… what more could you ask for?! 🏔️❤️

We are having the absolute best time vacationing in Colorado and getting to spend quality time with our favorite people. There’s just something about being surrounded by mountains, good laughs, and great company that fills your cup right up.

And of course… I couldn’t come to Colorado without some handmade warmth! 🧶 The beanie I’m wearing? Yep, I made it! Nothing better than rocking your own crochet creations while exploring somewhere beautiful.

Another pattern test in the books and I am OBSESSED 🤎✨

I just finished testing The Forever Boot Cuffs for the incredibly talented Anastasia over at and let me tell you… these worked up SO quick! 🙌

I used Premiere’s Anti-Pilling DK yarn paired with a 3.5 mm hook and the stitch definition is chef’s kiss 😍 Huge shoutout to for such a dreamy yarn to work with — soft, smooth, and perfect for accessories that need to hold their shape!

This pattern was such a fun make from start to finish (just like every other pattern I’ve tested for Anastasia 🫶). Quick projects with gorgeous results are my love language.

Pattern testing magic in progress! 💫
I’m currently testing the Aphrodite Hooded Vest and I am obsessed with how this design is coming together. The structure, the drape, the HOOD 😍 — it’s giving cozy goddess vibes already.

I’m using Big Twist Sparkle for a little extra shine ✨ paired with a 5.5 mm hook, and it’s working up beautifully. There’s just something so special about being part of the pattern testing process and helping bring a design to life stitch by stitch.
