“Wait…this is the SAME kitchen?! 👀✨
It’s been a while since we shared a true before + after renovation, and this one from our Indigo Ct. Project felt worth the wait.
What was once a dark, disconnected kitchen is now layered with warmth, texture, and intentional gathering spaces designed for real life. The built-in island banquette completely changed how this home functions. Instead of a standard island with barstools, we created a space that feels custom, conversational, and elevated…while still being incredibly practical for everyday family life.
One of my favorite details? The custom dining table. It gives the kitchen an elevated feel that instantly softens the space and makes it feel less like a showroom kitchen and more like a home people actually want to linger in.
Design details that transformed this space:
• Built-in island banquette seating
• Custom dining table
• Warm wood tones mixed with soft painted cabinetry
• Layered lighting for a more intimate feel
• Backsplash tile that can chew the light just so for a more elevated look
• Hidden storage solutions to reduce visual clutter
This is your reminder that some of the best renovations aren’t about making a home bigger…they’re about making it work better.

And tell me below…would you choose a built-in banquette over traditional island seating?
