I began rehab and design over a year ago when trying to find specialty gifts and home decor that were nowhere to be found unless it happened to be the current annual decorating theme of the big store chains. Where do you find unique
decor and gifts that might not be this year's market theme? It's not easy and soon I began creating my own designs and styles, rescuing vintage items and re-imagining pieces into new purposes. Yes, I followed a lot of DIY home decor and decided that stencil stamping was too routine and repetitive for my tastes. Walking away from that standard type of design, I found more freedom of expression and enjoyment in many styles of decor depending on my mood, taste or the person I was creating for. Now I enjoy creating farmhouse decor, shabby chic style home decor and gifts, cottage core decorating all the way to tribal and safari style decor, blending various materials into mixed media art home decor and gifts. When I'm not out rescuing memories for rehab designs, I enjoy working on the pieces I have tucked away and spending time with my new doberman puppy, Gunner.
