Happy Mother’s Day!💕

Today I’m thinking of all the mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and mother figures who have filled our lives with comfort, strength, encouragement, support, and beautiful memories.

For many, today is filled with hugs, kisses, laughter and time shared with one another.

For others, it may feel a bit tender as we hold close memories of mothers we miss deeply. This is my first Mother’s Day without my own sweet mama, so I am learning how love, joy, and loss💔 can live together in our hearts.

However this day finds you, my wish for you is that you feel surrounded by love. Hug your people tight, cherish the moments, and hold close the memories that never leave us.

I’m so excited to invite you to shop the entire release starting at 10am tomorrow! I will finally be able to fully share all this IOD loveliness with you. Yay!😀

My shop in The Rustic Hutch here in Mesa will be fully stocked and ready for you. I can’t wait to find out which items from this release are your favorites.🤩

(Just a gentle reminder, my shops in the Chandler and Gilbert Painted Tree Boutiques are closed due to the unexpected April closure of all the Painted Tree locations nationwide.)

I am thoroughly enjoying creating with this new release. Many workshop projects are currently in process on my studio table.😉 I will begin posting them soon…including a mini workshop on Saturday, May 9th, as part of the 30 year anniversary celebration for The Rustic Hutch.

I invite you to join me for a fun and creative workshop!🎨🫟😊

I’ll be sharing techniques that will inspire you to create using these fabulous stamps.😊

Everyone will create a beautiful watercolor paper art cover for their 7”x10” creative journal.
And…
Design and stamp an allover pattern using multiple stamps on a set of file folders. Everyone will have lots of fun background colors to choose from.

…I love pretty file folders! They make filing tasks just a bit more fun.🌸🗂️🗄️

I created this workshop to be playful, fun, and inspiring, as well as full of great stamping techniques.

Workshop session date options are:

Sunday, April 26th - 11a-2:30p
Thursday, April 30th - 11a-2:30p

…Just in case a few of you are looking for a last minute creative day, I decided to include this Sunday session as an option.😊

I couldn’t help myself…I had to squeeze in one more workshop that will be lovely for Easter decor as well as Spring.🐇🌸

I finally had a moment to sit down with these beautiful IOD garden bunny moulds. And it turned into the most relaxing, creative time. I truly enjoyed making these sweet Easter and Spring pieces…and I hope you love them just as much as I do!

In the workshop, we will be creating with a whimsical woodland/cottage garden feel…bunnies, hummingbirds, toadstools, birds’ nests, and, of course, lots of flowers.🌼 🐇🪺🍄

I’ll be sharing simple techniques for building and layering with moulds—such a fun way to create with moulds.

Workshop Date: Sat., March 21st - 11am-2:30pm

The new IOD Spring Release is full of all of that beauty and more…and we are going to decorate these pieces with it!

We will be painting with Sweet Pickins Milk Paints (such dreamy colors!🎨) and layering with transfers and stamped designs to make each piece uniquely yours.

I can’t believe the Spring Release day is almost here.🌷Be sure to tune into the live release tomorrow to see all the beautiful IOD goodness! 10am PST/1pmEST. For Arizona peeps, it’s 11am! 😊 You can find the reveal info on the Iron Orchid Designs page. I will also post it as soon as it goes live.

I just finished unboxing my shipment…yay! And every box I opened was a delightful surprise.
Of course, I stopped to open a package of each stamp, transfer, mould and inlay design along the way! Needless to say it took me some time to sort through everything.😉

Now my mind is over the top with project possibilities! Need to focus…🙄

Can’t wait to share this yummy Soberdough Pumpkin Spice bread with everyone at The Rustic Hutch Christmas Open House this Saturday!
I love all of the Soberdough bread mixes. So easy to make. For the pumpkin bread, I simply poured Sparkling Apple Cider (beer or sparkling water are great too) in a mixing bowl, added the mix, stirred and popped it in the oven to bake. That’s it! And Soberdough uses real pumpkin in their mix.
Be sure to stop by, say hi and enjoy a piece of this fabulous bread. There are several Soberdough mix flavors to choose from…both sweet and savory. See you Saturday!😊
