Bauhaus is often reduced to clean lines, tubular steel, and minimal interiors. Its real legacy is far more profound.
It introduced a disciplined way of thinking about design, where architecture, art, craftsmanship, and technology work as one. Every material is respected, every proportion is intentional, and every object must contribute to the way a space is experienced.
From my perspective as an interior designer, this is where Bauhaus remains relevant. Luxury is not created through excess or decoration alone. It is created through clarity, precision, quality, and a deep understanding of how people live.
Function should never eliminate emotion. The finest interiors balance both.
Bauhaus did not give us a visual formula. It gave us a way to think.
Which design movement should we explore next?
