We are back this year at The Rooted Schoolhouse for our monthly bake days. The children made Halloween Dirt Cups with chocolate pudding, crushed cookies and assortment of gummy worms, pumpkin candy, googly eyes & sprinkles. These spooky treats are a fun, hands-on activity that fosters creativity and allows the kids to enjoy eating something they made 🎃👻💜

One of the important aspects of the microbakery is to serve the neighborhood and to make connections with the community. Thank you The Rooted Schoolhouse · Miami Springs Microschool for giving me that opportunity. I always look forward to our monthly bake days and sharing with the kids 🫶

Subscriptions for the October Bread Club are open. Sign up and you will receive one loaf of bread each week for the month of October. What’s the advantage of the Bread Club? You will never wake up and not have sourdough toast available for breakfast! And you pay a discounted price of 17% off your bread. You can choose from the pain de campagne (country bread) or the whole wheat complet (70/30 blend). You also have the option to upgrade your loaf to Khorasan, einkorn, or pain de mie (soft sandwich style). The ordering link is in our bio or visit hotplate.com/deniseisbaking

Slicing is available, as well as delivery if you live in Miami Springs or Virginia Gardens.

Desi Cueto | Pink Palm Mahjong and Denise Plasencia | Denise is baking are collaborating to bring you Tiles & Tapas: an evening of learning, playing, food, and community building. The event will take place on Thursday, June 25, 6-8pm at the bakery in Miami Springs. This 2-hour session is open to all-level Mahjong players. There will be an instructor for beginners and open play for more experienced players. All of the materials are included along with w**e, charcuterie board, and treats from the bakery. The link to register is in my stories and bio.

*Due to the amount of interest, we are considering offering monthly themed Mahjong events. And perhaps looking into a larger venue. Thank you for your support, we can’t wait to share more game nights with you 🤍
