This is exactly what I mean when I say design has no rules. This necklace has been in my collection for many years — I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, knowing full well it was far too grand to ever actually wear. But that was never really the point. It lived beautifully in my previous home, and now with this new built-in, it has finally found its permanent place. Not in a jewelry box, not around a neck but exactly where it belongs.

Fashion and design have always been one and the same to me. This is just one more reminder of that.

Some things you simply can't visualize until they're right in front of you. That's one of my favorite truths about design. The blue stripes against the mocha walls, the warmth of the ceiling light filling every corner of the space — it's the kind of combination that only reveals itself once everything is in place.

Design is trial and error. It's sitting with a space, listening to it, and adjusting until it finally feels right. Every single piece in this water closet went through that process, and every single one earned its place.

I always say design is never truly finished, and this a perfect example. When I moved into my new home, this spot was simply a tall bare window. I styled it with a bar cart and it was beautiful, but I always knew it was capable of something more. With the help of my contractor, Orlando, we built this custom built-in — a space that now stores everyday kitchen essentials like placemats while feeling like a natural extension of the rest of the home. Function and beauty, always hand in hand.

But my favorite detail has to be these Koi fish handles from Anthropologie. I knew they were the right choice the moment I laid eyes on them for many reasons…

Not only are they beautiful, but we live by the ocean so they are the perfect fit for our home. And speaking a bit more candidly: My dog's name is Koi, and that is for a very personal reason. Koi fish remind me of my Mom (who passed away when I was just 20 years old). She was a Pisces and always had things with Koi around. Sometimes the smallest detail in a room can carry the most meaning.

Design should always come from intention. Surrounding yourself with items you love, collect and inherit tell your own story. That is worth everything!

Neutral doesn't have to mean quiet. Believe it or not, this entire space lives on the neutral spectrum. The mocha walls and the blue stripes create something immersive and rich without ever tipping into overwhelm. And then the green pendant light enters the conversation, adding just the right pop of color. The modern painting in the background does the rest. Vibrant enough to energize the space, balanced enough to let everything breathe.

This is what I mean when I say neutrals can do so much more than people give them credit for.

Blurring the lines between fashion and decor is one of my greatest design loves. These trunks aren't just a coffee table. They're a conversation piece, a storage solution, and a reflection of a life well collected all at once. Think a vintage suitcase as a nightstand, or a beautiful hat box as a side table. They're unexpected, layered, and so much more interesting than anything you'd find in a furniture store.

My challenge to you: what's sitting in your home or closet right now that could be so much more than a fashion statement?

There's a reason built-ins make it onto almost every project list I put together. When a prefabricated piece simply won't do the space justice, a custom built-in steps in and does something no off-the-shelf solution ever could. It makes the space feel like it was always meant to be exactly that way. Intentional, seamless, and completely yours.

This is what I mean when I say interior design changes with the way you live. For years, this bathroom glass door was simply frosted letting in every bit of light while my husband got ready each morning. Then came the closet redesign, and with it, a beautiful amount of leftover wallpaper. I looked at it. I looked at the door. And I thought... why not?

It worked perfectly, and that moment is exactly why I love this work so much. Design isn't always about starting from scratch or spending more. Sometimes it's about looking at what you already have with fresh eyes and finding the solution that was right there all along. Functional, beautiful, and completely transformative — that's the philosophy I'll always stand by.

You would never know what's hiding behind these built-ins, and that's exactly the point! When I moved into this home, the third floor needed a complete rethink. A full washer and dryer now live behind these doors, along with everything I need to take care of this space without a single trip downstairs. Beautiful on the outside, completely hardworking on the inside.

Built-ins truly are a fits-all solution — and they don't require expensive materials to make a real difference in how you live. That's the kind of design I will always champion.

And here she is. The moment I placed this ancient traditional Japanese scroll in this space, I knew it was exactly right. What I love most about this view is the conversation happening between two very different worlds — the scroll, steeped in history and tradition, speaking directly to the modern painting behind it. Different in origin, different in era, and yet completely in dialogue through color. A sense of cohesion that greets you before you even step inside. That's the magic of intentional design.

More details coming very soon.

The intersection of fashion and design strikes again. If you have beautiful pieces hiding away in your closet, it's time to bring them out. This pashmina was gifted to me by Louis Vuitton for my birthday — and the moment I held it, I knew it was too beautiful to fold away in a drawer. Draped over my bedroom chair, it becomes part of the room's story. A soft, intentional layer that adds warmth and personality to the space. And if I ever need it? It's right there.

Now I want to challenge you! Look at your fashion accessories differently. How can they work harder for you, both in your wardrobe and in your home?
